I bought a used Oeuf Classic crib off of craigslist- it was in great condition and came with a used organic mattress. I was a little leery of buying used, but I'm so happy I purchased such a sturdy, environmentally friendly crib. I got both the crib and mattress for $450.

all this is making me think perhaps the Glider ISN'T the place I'm going to save money really interesting to hear everyone's experiences!
I have officially started decorating today - as in I have started putting paint samples on the walls and stripping the existing wallpaper... excited to see it all come together over the next few months - we'll have to work around the double-bed for a bit longer since we may need it still for visitors over the summer but I'm not letting that stop me getting the rest of the space a bit more 'sorted' - up to now this has been our little-used guest-room-come-dumping-ground so it feels good to finally have a better purpose for it, even if LO will be sleeping in our room to start with; at least we'll have it all set up for baby-storage and changing station etc.

Our glider was almost 550 dollars, it looks like an overstuffed rocking chair that reclines but is a glider...and we never useit. My baby isn't one that likes to be rocked so hopefully our next one will appreciate it or it was a waste of money! haha

The glider will likely be the most expensive item. Art/ wallpaper may be the next highest splurge line item. While technically not in the nursery, the bassinet I want to use for our room is more than my current favorite crib. It's Babyhome's Air Bassinet.

I really liked some patterns on spoon flower but then I found this great fabric outlet. I don't love the pattern as much as the one I picked out on spoon flower but it was a ton cheaper and I like it better than most curtains I was thinking about in the store.
