We don't do themes. All of her parties have been BBQs and since we got a pool last year, we added swimming as the activity. Our parties are almost all family members and that's what I intend on doing for the next few years. She is 4.

@mediagirl: I want to do Under the Sea/mermaid theme for DD2's first birthday (late July).

For DD1 who just turned 3 in February, we had a Valentine's themed party. Her birthday is a week after Valentine's Day so I got all the decorations on sale.

She wants it to be Frozen. Which is perfect for an August birthday in Texas

It was a fishing theme. I have zero crafting skills, a fellow hellobee mom did the decor, favors and some snacks, and mil made cakes!

DD chose hello kitty for her 3rd birthday party back in March. It was nothing fancy, mainly just hellokitty paper plates and napkins and pink cups and straws.

I've still got a little less than 5 months, but we have sung twinkle twinkle little start every night at bedtime since he was born, so we are going to do a loose star theme for his first birthday. I can't believe I'm starting to plan for him to be one already!

    @wrkbrk: I did whales for DD2's first!

@lawbee11: who doesn't want to cool off in August?!

DD1's 4th was at the zoo and I did a zoo animal theme with blue/red/orange polka dots. She loves animals!

DD2 is turning 2 in August and I have no idea. But it will just be a small immediate family party.

@peaches1038: I didn't go crazy because it was only our parents and siblings and LO's cousins. We cut fruit, cheese, etc into star shapes. I did a peekaboo pound cake with a star inside. He had a star on his shirt and stars on the banner with his monthly pics. Otherwise it was just primary colored plates, cups, etc to match the banner.
Our invites said "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, LO has grown so much and come so far". But I have seen other cute phrases on Pinterest with the same theme.

New here! This seemed like a fun way to join in! We did a "cute weather" theme for LO first birthday in March. I did rainbow rice crispies, Ooey gooey cookies, and funfetti cake! Made the decorations on the cricut.

For DS 1st: Mustache Bash, 2nd: Thomas the Tank
I'm not sure what we will do for his 3rd yet in December, but his current obsession is Monster's Inc.

@winnibee: That party looks AMAZING! I absolutely love the favors. I'm keeping that in mind for future parties!

@Ree723: I'm due the day before DS birthday. I have no idea how I am going to pull this off!

    1st - pirate theme
2nd - no theme, but we had a lot of fruits and colorful pastries
    3rd - I was hijacked, so nothing
4th - the rough plan is a ice cream and pastels

When DD turned 7 there was no theme other than pre-pre-teen teeny bopper things. I think she is over themes.
For DS's 4th it was a Thomas theme. I think he wants another Thomas party this year.

My 2 year old DD just had a penguin themed birthday incorporating a "Frozen" color scheme and snowflakes (but no characters)!

My 4 year old DD is about to have a "pink puppy" birthday party (her request) - I found a kind of awful, kind of awesome "Fashion Puppy" line at Oriental Trading we are mixing in with lots of sparkles (glitter sunglasses, play jewlery, and stuffed puppies we will make beaded collars for).

DS1's last birthday didn't have a theme. He just requested pb chocolate cupcakes for a small family party, so that's what we did. We took him to the train museum and for a ride on a steam train in lieu of a big party (which was his choice).

DS2's 1st birthday is coming, and while it's not what I would have picked, it's going to be a bubble guppy theme. He LOVES the bubble guppies....so much so that he said "bubble guppy" before he said "dada" lol. He also dances every time the theme song comes on. So yea, bubble guppies.
