Dh and I were deep cleaning the second floor of our house yesterday to clean out our closets, etc. and also part of today. I was going to call it a day but got a nap in when ds was napping earlier so I decided to sweep and mop our tiled floors in the kitchen and entry ways!

The week before I had my son my nesting was out of control. I cleaned out closets, the basement shelves and the kitchen cabinets. No drawer in our house was safe! I donated a whole car load to goodwill. We just looked for steak knives today and it looks like I must have chucked them into the "donate" box back in December...oh well.

With LO1 I was obsessed with vacuuming everything, literally floor to ceiling. LO2 I was obsessed with laundry baskets staying empty and laundry all folded and put away. Both times I didn't realize how crazy I was about it until after they were born lol.

I finished work a week before my planned induction and my nesting was out of control that week! I had already cleared out closets and scrubbed the house top-to-bottom, all the usual stuff, so that week was supposed to be spent relaxing... but.... I painted the lounge instead! DH was furious when he got home and found I'd been up a ladder painting!

I'm in the middle of scrubbing the kitchen cabinets! I've been crap at cleaning lately, but within the last week I've felt the nesting tendencies starting!

I'm 7 months pregnant and we spent all weekend cleaning out our basement and reorganizing. Donated s car load to the Salvation Army. I'm attacking the bathroom closets this week!!! I'm trying to get rid of everything! Been reading Mari Kondo's book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying.

Ugh... I never really get that while cleaning nesting thing. I wish I would- I just hate cleaning. I did do a ton of cooking the week before c was born. And maybe a bit more cleaning but I'd love to have that crazy "I want to clean everything!!!!" Feeling.
Anyone with nesting urges is welcome to come over my house any time!

I didn't nest with #1 but I've been nesting for a long time now with #2... organizing closets, selling stuff, throwing things away... every.sinlge.day.

I baked my entire third trimester! On the day I went into labor, I cleaned out my car. I felt like I HAD to get it clean!

I haven't hit any sort of nesting mood. I'm just over 36 weeks now so I have a feeling it won't be happening LOL. It just feels like a chore to me.

Nesting hit me hard this weekend. We went shopping to get DH some new clothes and it turned into me reorganizing his dresser and the closet. He now has a nice big box of stuff to drop off at Goodwill.
