I studied English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I teach middle school English & ESL/ELD, so it's fairly close. I didn't go to school with the intention of being a teacher (although I always wanted to growing up.)
You?

@simplyfelicity: Yep, she sure does! Content strategy normally relates to marketing/web content/etc, but at my company we actually write and build training content for sales, retail, and health-related industries. So, I write everything from self-paced workbooks to video scripts. I like it because we get to manage the execution of our projects, too, and I like that human/client interaction part.

I do more graphic design freelance than I do at work.

I have a BA in Political Science and MPA. I haven't worked outside of the home. I had my son the same semester that I graduated with my MPA. I have been a SAHM ever since. We relocated and built a house during that time. We are settled in our new house now, but I'm not working in my field.
I have published a book and working on book number 2. I am thinking about becoming a professor.

Not related for me. Majored in environmental science, masters in environmental policy/natural resource management, but currently work as a grant administrator in academic health sciences I'd LOVE to get back into the environmental sector in the next 2-3 years. Looking back I probably would have been better served going to law school and working in environmental law. Oh well, hindsight and all that!!

@Meow: For me personally, I just don't think I'd be able to separate and compartmentalize the work from my personal life. I think it'd be really hard for me emotionally/mentally to take it on.
