One of the first I saw was Debbie Gibson and Tiffany so that has a soft spot in my heart! I also saw some great Foo Fighters shows, Alice in Chains and Billy Joel, who I'm really hoping to see on New Year's Eve this year.

We saw Elton John last year and he was amazing. He sang and played the piano for three hours straight, which I thought was pretty good for his age. Also, he sounds amazing live (I hate when you go to a concert and the band doesn't sound as good as they do on the radio, ha) and I know all the words to all his songs so I could sing along the whole time (my husband loved that, btw).

Concerts are my vice too!

Aerosmith is my favorite band. I've been to all their shows here, they get better every time.

Motion City soundtrack was amazing too.
Boy sets fire was incredible live. I was at the front of the stage & the bassist gave me his water to drink. The mosh out was so intense! I gave the lead singer a hug after the show then went out for pancakes with the band afterward.

Ani Difranco at Tipitinas, New Orleans. It just made me so happy to be so close to her, living in the same city as her. She's my first love.

Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings at Crystal Ballroom Portland Or. Just stunning. Stunning beautiful musicians. I'd watch them forever.

Runners up:
The indigo girls at Tipitinas. I'm not a good lesbian so I'm not a life long die hard fan, but you can feel the love and devotion of that crowd and I really enjoyed the show.

Crystal Castles at Roseland Portland. Really intense.

Bob Dylan at Mcmenimins Edgefield. Because its Bob Dylan, y'all.

I think the best concert I ever saw was Billy Joel - he did a college tour in 2002 and came to my college. He played in our AUDITORIUM. It was like VH1 story tellers. Live. With Billy Joel. At my college!

My other favorite was the "Up in Smoke" tour in 2000. Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dog, Warren G, Nate Dawg. Enough said.

Other favorites have been: Dispatch at the Esplanade in Boston when they were supposedly breaking up and overflowed Storrow Drive with concert goers; Lionel Ritchie (recently closed Austin City Limits concert; lots of Melissa Ferrick at small clubs in Boston; Indigo Girls at Lillith Fair; NSync (2001?); Tom Petty (front row); Lenny Kravitz (swoon).

Blues and Roots festival in Byron Bay Australia in 2005...Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, G love and Special Sauce, Dave Matthews Band, and a million other folksy ppl - it was the best 5 days of my life!!
Other faves have been Eddie Vedder & Ben Harper, The Killers, The Tragically Hip (seen them more times than I can count), Sarah McLaughlin...gosh I used to go to a lot of shows!!!
Bruce Sprinsteen has the best stage presence of any performer I've ever seen. That 63 year old can sure still bring it!!

Paul McCartney and James Taylor because they are legends!

No doubt was awesome.( reunion tour as well) I loved nsync. Had a lot of fun at Gloria estefan. Any 80's ladies I went to a few Expose and Lisa Lisa and the cult jam. ( I was little but it was fun!)

@yoursilverlining: I saw the stones and wasn't super impressed they were on my bucket list too!

My fave show New Kids and Britney Spears (really entertaining). I want to go to a Taylor Swift concert one of these days.

I saw NKOTB with Backstreet Boys 2 years ago and I have no shame.

Haha we basically just go to country concerts. My favorites have been Keith Urban (amaaaazing live) and Darius Rucker.

@Mrs. Bee: I like your taste! The first one that came to mind was NKOTBSB. And you reminded me of Green Day - I've been to a few. My fave was when I tried body surfing!

I also really enjoyed Bon Jovi.

Dave Mathews band and Sugarland. They were just awesome.

@BeachMama: Why was 30 Seconds to Mars bad? I was thinking they would be fun to see!

Coldplay - they are even better live! Chris Martin has a thrilling stage presence, and their performance really brings me in. They're my favorite band!

Britney Spears (at her peak) - She is an amazing dancer and performer!!

Oh yes, John Mayer too!! Had to pick my jaw off the ground when he started playing his guitar blindly behind his head.

Not even kidding, ZZ Top. This coming from a country music fan. They were just a bunch of old guys on stage but they rocked it!

@bpcmarj: are you talking about the John Mayer/Counting Crows concert at great woods (or is it comcast center now?). If so that was an amazing show.

For me it's seeing Third Eye Blind, love their stage presence and still my fave band to this day. Anther good one was Coldplay before the blew up, I caught them at Avalon (small boston nightclub)... That show was so intimate and I was literally 10 ft from Chris Martin.
