My husband's family is throwing my first shower this weekend. Many of my husband's aunts and cousins knit, crochet and quilt so I am especially excited to see if we get anything handmade. I'm also excited for baby clothes because I'm obsessed with how tiny and cute they are. What did you look forward to the most at your showers?

I knew everyone would get everything on our registry. I just knew that. My mom and MIL pretty much for all our big ticket stuff before I even knew what I was having. So, I was really excited for the unexpected things, like the handmade stuff and the sentimental stuff.

I think I'm most excited for our crib mattress and sheets, because I think our crib looks kind of sad all empty right now haha.

The blanket a friend crocheted for LO, the 4 ft giraffe (because who doesn't love a giraffe?!), and the custom hospital gown that my sister got for me. I had looked at them, but decided not to get one because they were too expensive. Little did I know my sister had ordered one.

Big ticket gear, handmade blankets (we used dailyy the first six mths) and gifts from friends who were so thoughtful in everything they chose!

@CupQuakeWalk: Seriously? I got 7 items total off my registry and 5 were from my mom and 1 from me.... But I still got a ton of other stuff so I am grateful either way!
I was most excited to receive my stroller and carseat!!! Still so excited over it. Oh and I got about a thousand aden swaddlers that I am in love with. Oh and all the baby soaps and shampoos. All of it was amazing!
