Ours is 1952. There are some issues, but we were aware of them from the home inspection. The house needs a new roof (nothing abnormal, but it's time for that to happen). The biggest annoyance that will probably come up if we do any major renovations is that the electrical service needs to be updated. It's fine for the house right now, but if we ever add on at all it will need to accommodate a larger load.

Thanks everyone for the info. Assuming everything goes smoothly, we will be buying a house that was built in 1989 from the original owners.
