I tried to make anpan yesterday, but the recipe went awry. I improvised and dumped it into a muffin tin, and tried to shove the red bean paste in the middle. Definitely not the soft, fluffy bread I was looking forward to! Still edible. I ate 2 this am.

I feel like I deserve a doughnut since DH is going to give me an injection in a few minutes...but I'll probably have a VitaTop muffin top.

Fruit (blueberries, banana), nutrigrain bar, string cheese, mini waffle and peach yogurt.
What about a smoothie? I always like those when I don't feel well.

My in laws are visiting and brought roast paan and coconut sambol with dahl. Typical breakfast for them. These pictures don't do it justice but the bread slices are literally as big as my head.
If they weren't here I would have made egg cups (TJs crescent rolls down in a muffin pan, pour in a mixture of scrambled egg, onion and green pepper and breakfast meat of choice-- I isially do pancetta of I can find nitrate free or turkey sausage). Top with cheese if you can eat cheese. SO GOOD.
You can leave off the crescent rolls and/or add some finely chopped spinach to make them healthier.

I already had cereal, but when C is up from her nap I'm going to make those banana and egg pancakes from the blog. She's loving smoothies these days too, so I might make one for all of us too.

@bunnylovesbear: I ended up having a chocolate croissant as well! Delicious.
@TheSwissWifeStyle: haha, I went the chocolate croissant route...somehow it seems slightly better for me than a doughnut?

We went to Subway after E's swim lesson this morning and got flat bread breakfast sandwiches.
ETA: Usually we do peanut butter and banana pancakes, but D really wanted Subway.

Our lunch today fits the breakfast theme, as well. scrambled cheesy eggs, sliced tomatoes, and whole grain bagels. My son likes to eat his bagels plain and unsliced, but I toasted mine and put cream cheese and strawberry preserves on mine....it's like a breakfast cheesecake! yum!
