We always got chocolate rabbits, cadbury eggs, other candy, and toys on Easter morning. DD will only be 12 months though. I'd like to do something, like we did for her Christmas stocking. Ideas?

DD will be 5 months old. She's getting an egg shape sorting toy, two board books, puffs, yogurt melts, and a jar of green beans. She's starting solids a couple weeks later. I also found a rabbit rattle that we already have that she's never played with so I'm putting that in her basket as well.

DD2 (4 months)- ducks for bath, board book, I'll probably throw in a teether that we already have, oh and an A&A animal/blanket thingy that I already have (good suggestion!)

She's getting sand toys, sunglasses, a book, a T-shirt, bubbles, a wooden birdhouse to paint and hair bows. I also bought some playmobil 123 animals and people to put in eggs.
Green toys are half off on amazon today if you're looking for sand toys.

We're doing books, tshirt, stickers, play doh, piggy paint, cheddar bunnies, a few pieces of candy and some more items escaping me right now.
grapefruit / 4817 posts
Right now it's just a plush frog, lots and lots of candy, and play doh. I'm not going crazy this year.

LO will be just shy of 2:
Hairbows
Bath crayons
Jelly beans
2 books
2 Disney Princess Dolls
The dolls are more like an early birthday present-spreading out the toys so she doesnt get overwhelmed like she did at Christmas. I know my mom got her a bunch of pouches and some other things, but I don't know what else.

These are great ideas. DD is turning 1 year just a week after Easter, so we'll keep it pretty low key. Maybe I'll hit Goodwill for some board books and little toys. Pouches are a good idea, she LOVES the Happy Baby ones that we bought to see if she would like them for an upcoming plane trip.

Ooh, I forgot about Easter Eggs. I'll have to pick some up. Maybe I'll put candy in those instead.

The plan was to have My Little Pony and those DIY Japanese candy kits (Kracie Popin'). But I totally went overboard with buying chocolate this weekend and so I'll save the DIY candy as a weekend activity instead.

The girls (almost 4 & 18m) are getting a book, zippered rash guard, plastic eggs filled with treat, matching Spring jammies.
DD1 is also getting a frozen flashlight (obsessed with flashlights!), electric toothbrush and chocolate bunny. Need to find a few misc things for DD2, maybe a gardening set since DD1 already has one.
Sending our nieces 9 & 7 a few small things: Chapstick holder (they're obsessed with chapsticks), fun toothbrush holder and a chocolate bunny.

@regberadaisy: Oh yeah I have a new rash guard for her, for an upcoming vacation- I can put that in the basket, she'll love it.

@fancyfunction: ah forgot about piggy paint! Might just save it for her birthday next month. I've got too much for big sister and not enough for baby sister!
@PawPrints: haha I totally mainly fill their basket with necessary things I would've had to buy anyway. and a few fun things.

DD is 1. She's getting a wet bag, a sun hat, some applesauce pouches...not sure what else, if anything.
DS is 3. He's getting Spot It! Jr., sunglasses, gummies, not sure what else.
Maybe i'll add sunscreen? I'll need to send them each a tube into daycare anyway.

@regberadaisy: These will be her first bottles of it! I'm excited to do her nails b/c she's always commenting on mine

They're each getting a religious/Easter book, a Disney movie, a patron saint magnet, a personalized beach towel, a ball cap/sun hat, a little bunny bubble wand, candy (in eggs), and a little set of gardening tools. One is getting a little giraffe to add to her LP zoo and the other is getting a little Stuffy doll. I've been collecting stuff for cheap since last fall's end of season sales.

So far all I have is a chocolate bunny (he's 18 months so I might finally let him indulge) and an Elmo Easter card. I haven't done much yet. Maybe a potty training book.
Last year when he was only 6/7 months I got him a few board books (one was religious, this one: http://www.amazon.com/An-Easter-Gift-Crystal-Bowman/dp/031073827X), Babiators sunglasses, a jellycat bunny, alphabet flash cards, a Sophie teether (not the full sized Sophie), next size up pacifiers, sensory balls, and the mirari pop pop piano (because it's spring/Easter colors...it's actually great for a 1 year old). I only know all of this because I just looked at last year's pictures
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@SweetiePie: @psw27: Babiators, that's another thing I already bought for her that I can put in the basket!

@PawPrints: The Tale of Three Trees by Angela Elwell Hunt for my 3 yr old and My First Pictures of Easter by Maïte Roche for my 1 yr old. If the latter doesn't arrive in time (it's back ordered currently), I'm planning to replace it with A Tale for Easter by Tasha Tudor.

ETA: We are throwing in some bubbles too because I read even small babies like watching them!

We are doing 'gifts' instead of a basket. We got her a Llama llama book and a green toys tractor.
pomelo / 5607 posts
She'll be 9mo. A couple stuffed bunnies (DH and I each picked out one independently) is all we have so far, and I don't want to do a ton. I like the idea of some yogurt melts, and maybe a book.
pomegranate / 3658 posts
We haven't tried yogurt melts yet with DD and I am just picturing her getting that look on her face of reptilian-level voracious carnivore coming out, like, I will eat all of these that exist in the world RIGHT NOW.
honeydew / 7463 posts
@PawPrints: that will happen. But they will become invaluable for outings

Last year DS was 6 months. He got:
Puffs
Melts
Another Happy Baby snack of some kind
A $1 noisemaker (the long tube ones that make noise when you tip them upside down) - this was the complete hit of the entire basket and he played with it for MONTHS.
An Easter themed dollar bin sectioned plate (he still uses it!)
Two toy cars from grandma
An Easter touch and feel book from his Great Aunt
This year he is 18 months and getting:
Like 4 board books I found on sale, including 2 religious ones
Another $1 noisemaker
