HIMYM (so sick of it, but we've watched from the beginning, so we feel like we should stick it out for the last season), Modern Family, New Girl. I caught a few minutes of Super Fun Night last night and thought it was amusing...anyone know if it's on Hulu (I guess I could just go check on that myself....).
Okay, I just checked and it is on Hulu. And evidently I just had a whole conversation with myself!

@Adira: How are you liking SHIELD so far? I liked teh first episode but felt that 2 and 3 were weak. Disappointing because I looooove Joss Whedon and really want to love this.

It's okay, but one of the things that Joss Whedon is KNOWN for in his shows is the witty banter and this show just doesn't seem to have ANY of that. I'm hoping as it gets into it's groove and the characters get to know each other better, it will improve.

@mediagirl: Okay good, I have this week DVRd but haven't watched it yet because DH has given up. I know to wait things out a bit longer, it took Dollhouse a good 12 episodes to get going.
@Adira: Oddly enough, the lack of witty banter doesn't bother me as much as the clunkiness/cheesiness of the dialogie and the lack of emotional resonance of any of the scenes. It all feels a bit empty. Although I looooved seeing J August Richards in the pilot.

we dvr a lot! that way it stores up even if we don't have time to watch it regularly for both of us (in order su-f, haha): homeland, himym, bones, brooklyn nine nine, new girl, mindy project, big bang theory, parks and rec, and parenthood (though we haven't watched any of this season yet..). when grimm starts again that will be back on the rotation.
for me: grey's, vampire diaries. dh dvrs walking dead, anthony bourdain and some other cooking shows, plus sports.

@plantains: @mediagirl: I also have watched this week's yet (I watch SHIELD with my brother, and we only get together every few weeks), but I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
@plantains: I agree about Dollhouse! That series started out lame, but got pretty good! Hopefully SHIELD will follow in it's footsteps! And I liked seeing Gunn again too!

Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, HIMYM and now we've just gotten into Sleepy Hollow. We really like the show but it's funny b/c it's supposed to take place 10 min from us but the town looks nothing like where we live.

@Adira: I don't know if you ever saw Firefly or Serenity but SHIELD has so many similarities its weird. I do wish there was more of the witty banter. I just can't get into the show like I was hoping. Not a win for Joss IMO.

@Mrs Hedgehog: Of COURSE I've seen Firefly and Serenity! I think I've seen everything Joss Whedon has done!
It definitely does have some similarities (hello, do they LIVE on that ship?) but the banter is soooooo lacking. I'm guessing because Joss doesn't actually WRITE the scripts at all.

@Adira: Well he di co-write the pilot. Also Jeffrey bell who ran Angel for a couple of seasons and wrote so many of those episodes has written 2 of the episodes, so honestly there should be more wit to the scripts.

And I'm surprised about Jeffrey Bell too. You would think it would be better in that case!
