What's your opinion Bees? LO is close to growing out of her infant seat and we need to start looking for a convertible seat. I drive a Honda CR-V.
And....not interested in the Clek Foonf...too expensive for us

I drive a Honda CRV, too! I ended up getting a Britax Marathon 70-G3 in waverly and love it. I think it is reasonably price and got great reviews. I got mine on sale just under 200 a few months back. It was easy to install, easy to get my son in/out, easy adjustment for height, and the fabric is nice and soft. My son did not like being in his baby carseat and would cry and fuss; however, he was a different baby in the Britax Marathon. He is a happier baby in his convertible, no more crying and likes to nap in it.
Good luck in your search.

I have a honda Cr-v and we have the recaro seat. We love it in there. The angle of the seat fits awesome with the angle of the seats in the car so we save maximum amount of space. It is not a small car seat, but it still fits well. We also have an infant seat in there as well for my youngest. We will absolutely be getting another recaro when dd2 is ready for one!

We have a CR-V and we've had two: Britax Marathon and Diono Radian RXT w/ angle adjuster. The former is easier to use, but the latter has allowed us to keep our son RF even though he's tall.

Ha, we also have a CRV and a britax marathon!! No complaints, it's the only seat we have used besides the britax infant seat.

Thanks ladies! Also does anyone know what the difference between the G3 and G4 Marathon models are? And are they easy to put your LO in (like physically put them in) and adjust/tighten/loosen the straps....while they are still rear facing? And....last question.....where do you have them in the back seat if they are still RF? Behind driver, middle, or behind passenger side?

@Rainbow Sprinkles: thank you! I'm not familiar with the Recaro but will definitely take a look when we go to Buy Buy Baby

@Ginabean3: I have R behind the passenger side. I know the safest spot is in the middle but I have a tough time getting her in and out on the side. The straps are definitely harder to adjust than the B-Safe infant seat we have. I'm not sure what the difference is...maybe the G4 is the newer model?

@swedishfish: Thank you! Yah, right now I have her in the middle and it's a pain to get her in and out. I'm little so I have to climb ALL the way into the car to unsnap her and lift her out. Whereas DH is tall and has long arms and can just lean in and get her.

@Ginabean3: You might want to take a look at weight/height limits as you're narrowing down car seat choice. I have heard great things about Britax convertibles but if you've got a tall kiddo, I don't think they last as long. We have a Diono Radian in our Corolla (which is for sure smaller than your car! also my kiddo is a giant) and it fits great with the angle adjuster, giving us more leg room in front than with her infant seat (Britax B-Safe). I like that we'll never have to buy another car seat for LO!

@tororojo: thank you! Great advice! I think LO is pretty normal for her age (1 yr next Friday, 22 lbs , 27 in long) but it would be nice to get a car seat that will last for a long time! DH is 6"3 so who knows...LO might have a growth spurt and turn into a giant!

We have a Graco My Size 70 in my CRV and it fits wonderfully. It's also one of the longest lasting RFing car seats on the market, if that matters to you. My giant sized almost 2 year old is still RFing in it.

@loveisstrange: Thank you so much for your input! I'll put that Graco My Size 70 on my list to check out as well!

We currently have a Diono Radian in our CRV and just bought a Graco Headwise 70 as our back-up. We just started using them. You could always ask the FB group Carseats for the Littles to get a recommendation!
Also my LO is turning one next Thurs so our littles are almost the same age! Happy early birthday to yours!

@Ginabean3: Its also called the Headwise and the Size4Me. Same seat, different names. Way to be confusing Graco.
