What's the difference between a booster seat with a head rest that has a harness exactly the same as LO'S infant seat that is labeled for babies 22 to 80 pounds. & a convertible car seat? Is the convertible safer? Can the booster RF?

@Mrs. Sunshine: Our convertible started at 5lb. That's the only thing I can think of.

A convertible seat can typically accommodate newborns and can rear-face for smaller children. A harness-to-booster seat lacks the ability to RF and is for older children who may not need to RF anymore but aren't big enough to go straight to a booster yet. Some seats do all 3, like our radian.

Yes, a convertable means it can convert between rf and ff. boosters can only ff.

@Mrs. Yoyo: @Mrs. Lion: thank you! The price points were so insanely different I figured there was something I was missing. I prefer to keep LO RF so we will definitely get a convertible. Plus they look more comfy anyway
