I picked up a lot of student loan debt in college... I think it was over $50k, maybe actually around $70k? It's hard to remember b/c it was an overwhelming number, so I just put it out of my mind and worked as hard as I could.
I eventually paid it off working as a consultant, and then I was able to quit working and start my first company. Thank goodness, b/c I hated corporate life.
That's the most I've ever been in debt. How about you?

Definitely student loans. Wait, does a mortgage count? Then it's right now cause of our mortgage!

I think the most was $40K. That was student loans and a car. BUT the car has long been paid off and the student loans are done in September!!

My post-grad student loan debt was around $30-33k. I paid it all off in 3 years and it felt amazing!!!!

I bought a car and financed about $8,000. Aside from mortgages that's the most I've ever been in debt. I paid that off in 2 years and vowed to never finance a car again.

I'm very fortunate to have very little debt. I only had student loans from my last year in college, which should have been around $10k. One day I received a letter about an "adjustment" and ended up with less than $4k. To this day I have no idea what happened. I paid it off asap.

Um you all would be shocked at my student loan debt. I financed 4 years of undergrad, 2 years grad school, 1 year post bacc and 4 years of med school... All at public universities, but still over $150.
The thing is, without affordable student loans I would NEVER be where I am today! I was able to change social strata solely based on my ability to procure student loans for graduate and post-graduate training. Nowhere else in the world would I have been able to achieve what I've achieved, and I'm so glad student loan interest hasn't doubled as it was scheduled to.
I only have a very little bit of my student loan debt left and I hope it will all be paid in the next year (thanks to a loan repayment grant).

Wow, I feel lucky that my student loans were only about $25k (my parents paid half of my college tuition, which I'm extremely grateful for!)

I had $95,000 in student loans coming out of school. One year later, I am down to $87,000, and I didn't even start paying them until November! I hate them and can't wait to get rid of them.

I left college with only $3,500 in a student loan, which is down to $2,000. (Its such a small loan I'm not concerned about paying it off.) I've never let my cc debt go past a couple thousand before buckling down and paying it off.
