I have never worked more than 60 hours in a week. Almost always 40 hours. DH works 60-70 hours a week usually but this week he is at 93! He worked a 20 hour shift on Tuesday. He's putting in the hours because he's supposedly getting a big promotion in January.

I've always been salaried so I've never kept exact track. But back when I worked on Wall Street baseline was 60 hours a week.

DH works 85-90 on some weeks. I think I did 60 a few years ago.

My husband's old job required him to work 80 hour weeks regularly (with two kids at home and while doing his Master's. :/). He also put in a couple 100+ hour weeks, but that was really rare.

@HLK208: Yeah, it is, but it's just (unfortunately) the territory. Before LO I averaged 60-70 a week. I have cut back dramatically since I returned to work though (I work really regular hours now) . . . because my firm has been incredibly flexible! I am suuuuuper lucky in that regard.

As a manager of a group home I worked 60 hr weeks pretty regularly and sometimes up to 80 hr weeks. I prefer nothing over 45 thanks!

@HLK208: ugh I know. Luckily we moved last year and my husband's new job rarely requires him to work over 40 hours a week. Occasionally he has to travel, but overall he's home a lot more.

We are both salaried so we don't keep track but we have both had weeks were we worked each night and the weekend too. Those weeks suck.

Close to 80 hours a week during holidays when I worked my part time retail gig on top of my job. Crazy but I loved it!
I loved working retail but could never ever do it full time, so before DS I would work a part time evening/weekend shift for fun.

Most I've ever worked is around 45- I've never been particularly dedicated to any job, haha. Dh can work around 80 on a regular basis... though he has his own business, so literally every extra hour is more money

I honestly don't know, but well over the typical 40 hours. I don't get paid extra when I work overtime, so I never really track it.

He regularly works 60-70 hour weeks and then spends 3 nights/week at school. I used to work 50 hours/week but since having DS I work 35.
Some of you and your DH's work some crazy hours...makes me think twice before complaining about my situation!

I put in upwards of 90 during plant shut downs at my last job. (usually on night shift too) but probably 65 is the most I've put in at this job in preparation for a big project close or something.

DH works week on week off so he works 84 hours when he is working. At one point I was working 3 jobs. I somedays would work my 8 hour day shift, go home have a nap and go to a different job to work a 12 hour night shift. It was brutal.

usually he does 62h but it is not rare that he'd get up to 90h a week 
This includes weekends, meetings and staying at the office until 8pm some days (he goes in between 7-8am)

The most I have probably worked is about 50. DH consistently works 15 hours days, 7 days a week, in the summer/height of the fishing season.

My DH regularly work 70ish hours per week. The most is prob around 100, but that was a few years ago. The hours are more reasonable now. It just comes with the territory in finance.
The most I have worked is prob around 55, average around 45-50 though.

@petunia354: @Alivoo01: I have had a couple of weeks where I have gone to trial, prepped for the next day, gone home (or to the hotel) to shower/change and get a few minutes of rest, and then get right back to work (usually starting with a breakfast meeting). Lather, rinse, repeat. My DH has done this many more times than I have (and not just for trial).

I think the most I ever worked was 85 hours. During my first year with this family I'd say I worked about 80/ week on average. Now (into year 2) I'm at 60 hours per week. When I worked the 80 hour weeks, my friends joked about me being a single parent. Sure the money was nice but I didn't mind it.

In the summer, he probably works at least 70 hours a week because his boss has them working during the day and then going out to net at night. I usually work 35 hours a week, but if we have a conference it can easily go up to about 50 hours.

At my last job we had a trade show one weekend a year and were expected to work every day, which meant I would work 12 days in a row - since they didn't feel the need to give those of us working the show (not everyone in the company had to) at least a half day the Monday after. It was long and exhausting but at least it was only once a year.

DH put in more 100 hour weeks than either of us cares to remember at his old job. It felt like a long-distance relationship... even though we lived together. SO glad that's over!

99.99% of the time we both just get 40 hours give or take. This week is Halloween week at my work and I'm working 50 just because of that. A few years ago he was working 70 a week but they have long since fixed that problem. Now he gets an even 40.

DH has worked 72 before. He works 12 hour shifts, and he only had off 1 day.
