In Phoenix area I saw 1.75 yesterday. One of the awesome things about moving -
$1.64 is the cheapest for regular that I've seen in our area.
Premium is around 2 bucks/gallon. -
$2.29 is the lowest I've seen! Low for us, but I'm in CA where it is always higher than the rest of the country.

Last time I got gas it was $1.60. I like that for my wallet, but a lot of people in my area are getting laid off because of it, so that's tough.

@ShootingStar: Most of that is tax. We are charged 58p per litre fuel duty, plus 20% VAT on the overall transaction so in the example of a gallon, approx $3.50 would be fuel tax, $1.50 would be VAT and $1.50 would be the price we pay the petrol company.

This thread makes me cry. $2.45 here. I saw an ad for $1.89 over the border in Oregon, but that's 45 miles away and over a mountain pass. Sad.

$1.73 for regular and $2.21 for premium. I'm waiting for premium to go under $2. DH's co-worker in New Jersey filled up for $1.49 for regular and premium was only $1.99!
