DH and I have been thinking about my next car (we're going to upgrade when we have baby #2). We want something large and something we won't have to upgrade again if we have a #3.
We decided on the Infiniti QX56.

We just got the Lexus GX 470 and we love it! It was definitely our "dream" car!

Probably the car I have (Honda Odyssey) but upgraded. We got the cheapest option possible, but it would be nice to have some of the better features.

I want a Nissan Quest. The one with the moon roof that goes all the way to the back seat. Also, it has a tent that attaches to the back! Not that I really see us going camping, but heck that would make for a fun backyard camp out!!

@mediagirl: My husband recently traded in his Mercedes coupe for the Audi wagon - it is SO NICE!!!! Its super easy to drive, still sporty...you should def go check it out!

I would love a Toyota Land Cruiser, but our budget is more the Toyota Highlander which is what we are looking at getting since we want a bigger vehicle before the baby comes. Other options GMC Acadia & Ford Explorer.

We currently have an Acura TSX. While it has been great for the last 4.5 years, it is a bit on the small side with a kid and never enough cargo space. My dream car would simply be a fuel efficient station wagon, but there aren't too many options available. Hoping that more come to the market in the next year or two.

@twodoghouse: I saw one on the road in white and fell in love...! Glad to hear it's also family friendly... too many times I fall in love with a car only to find out that it's impossible to get a carseat into, etc.

@mrs. wagon: Actually, I have no idea if it's family friendly.... we don't have any kids yet. But it's dog-friendly so far! (And it seems plenty big for putting carseats and whatnot, I just don't have practical experience with it!)

@twodoghouse: ah! well dog friendly would probably translate to family friendly... unless you have huge dogs that are able to jump into a super high car easily
The main thing I'd be worried about would be access to the backseats to be able to load carseats in easily. And dog friendly helps us too-- our small dogs go with us a lot!
