What's your favorite city in Europe?

@Maysprout: I think it would be a great family trip. Switzerland is absolutely breathtaking. Your LOs might be too young to remember the trip but you and DH will have fond memories of bringing them. I do recommend visiting a few countries when you're there like Austria and Germany. The best part of Switzerland is that it borders so many other countries. Just rent a car and drive at your leisure!

My exposure to European cities is admittedly limited, but I'd say Florence and Paris since it's the only one we've spent more extended time in.

@MamaMoose: I wonder if the Barcelona-items refer to Miami as the American Barcelona.

I've only ever been to Greece and Turkey. I loved Istanbul and Athens, though. The Greek Isles were beautiful, too!

Disclaimer I have not visited many European cities. My favorite (most memorable) was Lisbon, Portugal. My bff and I sang "Wade in the Water" in a Lisbon beach as the sun set. The experience was fun, silly, and beautiful.

@travellingbee: it is! It's so breathtaking there you can hardly believe it's real. We were only there for 2 days but want to go back for a week some day. The seafood there was SO fresh and I've had fresh caught seafood in my life. In little restaurants near the water in China where you pick the fish they cook. You can just tell everything was caught fresh that morning.

It's about an hr - hr and half train ride from Rome and 30-45 from Pisa. So either would be a good city to fly into.

@MsLipGloss: I can def see the parallel! But Barcelona is more awesome bc of its history and architecture!

We had a great time in Zurich. We went to Lucerne for one day, and it was also very nice.

I've only been to Greece! We went to Athens, Mykonos and santorini. Santorini was hands down the nicest!

We are looking to go to Europe in a few weeks and have no idea where! Looking up all these places mentioned!

Maybe Milan? Just because I recently had a very fun weekend there!

All you Lucerne lovers, if you ever go back, maybe we can meet up! It's about 2 hours from me I think.

I recently went to Bern, and that was very nice too. Very quaint.

I haven't even explored Zurich yet! I'm a horrible Swiss resident!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: DOn't feel bad, there are people that have lived in Swtizerland their entire lives and haven't been to Zurich. It's nothing to write home about, lol.

My favorite city in Europe is Barcelona, followed by Rome. I just love the walkability and all the fine eating!

The town of Moustiers Sainte Marie, at the base of the Gorges de Verdon in France. It's this amazing quaint little town on the side of a mountain. Waterfalls run down the center and there are cute little farms and artisan shoppes throughout. We hit most of the big cities in France and some of them were just soo busy and crowded!
