You can only choose ONE...not one per park.
My favorite attraction (at the moment) is Soarin at EPCOT.

...this is probably the most difficult question I've ever been asked. And darn your disclaimer! But I might have to say Soarin as well - it's the one I miss the most between trips. I like to listen to the soundtrack for it in my car a lot. Because I'm a total nerd. Honorable mention to Mission: Space because I used to work there for a semester

I'm kinda over Soarin. It's a really old ride
I would say at Magic kingdom the new Ariel ride was lots of fun and I thought they did a really good job with it.

@SnowLion: Expedition Everest horrified me when it went backward!
Honestly, Splash Mountain will always hold a special place in my heart.

@wonderstruck: What do you soar over?
I'm going there soon, and I need awesome tips. Great thread!
cherry / 104 posts
@crystal It is in Animal Kingdom,
@irunforfun that is my favorite part. That and if you sit at the very front when they stop before you go backwards you can see Epcot and Tower of Terror.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@SnowLion: Haha I was sitting in the front when I went on (I was forced, I'm not a big roller coaster person), but I think I had my eyes closed and was screaming at that point! LOL.

Pirates! I could ride that one all day Splash Mountain is a verrry close second though!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@lemondrop: OMG I forgot about Pirates!! Sounds like we'd make good Disney buddies.
grapefruit / 4817 posts
I'll always have the most love for the classics at Magic Kingdom, since I've been at least once a year since I was a toddler. Haunted Mansion will always be the highlight of the trip for me. Space Mountain is a close second, though.

Ahhhh I can't pick one!!
I guess if I did Id pick Rock N Roller Coaster
I also love toy story mania, Soarin and splash mountain

@wonderstruck: hahaha, I was thinking of you when I wrote the disclaimer! And really myself because I could've written my top five per park.

@Charm54: ah, I totally forgot about Toy Story Mania! I think I have to change my favorite to that.

We're huge Disney lovers, so this is hard for me, but I'm going to have to say Splash Mountain. That's the ride I could probably ride all day and never get bored. I love the animatronics, the watery drop, and the ending always makes me grin ear to ear. Loves how it tells a story and the music!!
clementine / 901 posts
This is sooo hard because I love Disney so much. I think I have to go with Splash Mountain, it's one I can ride over and over.
nectarine / 2636 posts
That is so hard! I love Soarin and Everest... But the classics like pirates and haunted mansion are so good too! I'd probably pick Everest if I had to choose one to ride a ll day.
I've been to Disney world several times and each time I couldn't go on Splash Mountain! One time is was closed for repairs, another time there was lightning within a certain distance and they closed it. We were next in line to go on too! So close! I am dying to go.

It's been 16 years since I've been, but I really loved the Tom Sawyer water park when I went as a kid!
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@jedeve: Do you mean Tom Sawyer Island, or River Country? River Country is (or should I say was) the waterpark that had that feel to it. It was closed in 2001 though
@Crystal: Soarin' is a ride at Epcot. The full name, which explains a bit more, is Soarin' over California. It's a simulator type ride where the rows of seats are lifted into the air with your feet hanging, and they sway around in front of a giant screen - sounds weird but it's so cool! They even pump in the appropriate smells to help you feel like you're really in whatever scene you're experiencing. Like, on is an ocean scene with crashing waves, and I always catch myself lifting my feet like they're going to get wet, haha! It's located in The Land pavilion (part of Future World.)
@SnowLion: Expedition Everest would be my favorite if they would fix the Yeti! I'm hoping maybe once the Avatar stuff opens they'll finally do that.
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I also debated between the one I chose and the classics like Pirates and Haunted Mansion. DH and I have a tradition where when we arrive at Disney (typically in the middle or towards the end of the day) the first thing we do is always Pirates.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@wonderstruck: we have the same ride in California Adventure in California! I was hoping I could soar over Florida or something.
I always thought it a bit weird we had a park dedicated to all the amazing things California has to offer in California.
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@Crystal: haha, I thought they were going to change it to a Florida-based ride when I heard they were bringing it to EPCOT. You absolutely must drink your way around the world in EPCOT...unless you're pregnant and then you must eat your way around the world!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@swedishfish: is it bad that my main reason for wanting to go to Epcot is to drink my way around the world?
Though I will admit that eating my way doesn't sound bad either.
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@Crystal: you should absolutely do both. There's a booth that sells glasses of champagne in France...heaven!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
The safari at animal kingdom. Seeing all the animals amazes me everytime!
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
@Crystal: we were just there last month , dh and his friend drank around the world while my 6 month pregnant friend and I are around the world we had a blast!!
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@Crystal: Yeah, Soarin is just a clone of what you guys have over there, sorry to disappoint! It would be cool if they would have different places. Maybe if they even had multiple ones at each park so you never knew exactly what ride you were going to get.
@swedishfish: Eating your way around the world is amazing! Although my favorite restaurant at WDW for ethnic food is Boma, which is obviously a bit more of a pain to get to. Totally worth it, though.

The only one I remember is Space Mountain. I can't even tell you where it is. I remember it from 2nd grade and 7th grade. That was in 1999ish.
nectarine / 2636 posts
@wonderstruck: Boma is atWAnimal Kingdom Lodge right? I think that's the place I went to for dinner. They had the BEST butternut squash soup! And i normally hate soup!
I ate at one of the restaurants at the Grand Floridian... The one on the lagoon where you can watch and listen to the MK fireworks... I had lobster risotto there. It was heaven!
honeydew / 7667 posts
Mr. Toad's wild ride!!! I don't care if they turned it into Winnie the Pooh. I still think it is the best ride ever.
honeydew / 7667 posts
@Crystal: is it bad that drinking around the world is what I compare all other vacations to?
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: Yes, it is! And I'm guessing you mean Narcoosee's. They're awesome too. My DH loves their surf n turf
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@wonderstruck: any other must eat restaurants?
I ️ how much you love Disney.
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@Crystal: Haha thank you! My friends all love to tease me, but you know who they're coming to when they need advice on it My DH's favorite is California Grill - it's at the top of the Contemporary Resort. Their dinner reservations fill up fast, but it's super cool because you can go outside during dinner and watch the fireworks from the balcony, they pipe the music in and everything. And the food is totally amazing, my DH is particularly obsessed with their California Rolls, which I can't really comment on since I'm not a big fan of sushi.
We always struggle with getting a good spot for Illuminations at Epcot (like, we'll camp out at our spots an hour beforehand and then have people trying to push us out of the way 5 minutes before it starts) so on our last trip we made dinnertime reservations at the Rose & Crown Cafe since it's right up against the lagoon. and you're not fighting for space. Although that may not be as important now that they've rolled out the Fastpass+, I guess you can reserve special viewing spots for the nighttime shows using that?
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@wonderstruck: I'm the same way about Disneyland. Love it!
Any other tips for Orlando? We have some nights (work conference DH is attending with me), and three whole days to spend. I'm so excited! We are definitely hitting Disney World and possibly universal studios. I'm trying to make dinner reservations for our free nights, and make sure we hit everything we want to hit during our one day at the magic kingdom.

@wonderstruck: have you eaten at Be Our Guest? It was pretty cool!
