The people I work with. Hands down. There is no gossip, no drama, no cattiness. I LOVE it.

That I'm off in the summer. After dealing with those kids all year, I deserve it.

@mediagirl: that is AWESOME.
Right now it's the flex schedule. I get to work 8 - 4:30 and that makes the evenings easier.

I love the people and the flexibility. Sometimes I have doctors appointments at random times and my team leader is very understanding.

Once I leave work, I leave it at work. It's also not too stressful.

My bosses are seriously the most generous, kind people I've ever known when it comes to their employees. They are a husband and wife team and some of the things that they have done for employees are astounding. They really understand what makes for a good, productive workplace. And they really care. They're fantastic.

@regberadaisy: @aprk: I should also mention there are only 4 women at my company. That probably helps.
We also get Friday's off from June through August. And the owner would love to do Friday's off all the time (work 8 hour days M-Th, take Friday off, get paid for all 5 days). I keep my fingers crossed that will happen someday.
@ladyfingers: that's so wonderful!!

- my summers off

@mediagirl: Wow what do you do if you don't mind me asking? At my old firm (I'm an accountant) they gave us flex schedules to work 10 hour days 4 days a week to 'earn' the Friday off. Yours sounds much better!!!
I love my current assignment and the team I am working with. I have a lot of women on my team but its not catty and the management is so understanding and flexible!!

I'm freelance so I love the freedom of it! I make my own hours, take vacation when I want and can work in my pajamas if I feel like it.
Even though I had great coworkers in previous office jobs, I love the freedom the freelance affords, and I am way more productive!

@SouthPaw: I work for a small software company. We have 17 employees. The owner of the company is also the founder. Most of the employees here have been here for 10+ years (I'm one of the employees with the least years at 8). It's a great work environment.

I would have to say benefits and salary. It can pretty very stressful, but they more than make up for it with showing their appreciation: Free game tickets in local university sports, bonuses, family events, ect.

Probably that I work from home. There are a few girls though that I really like so I wish I got to see them more then once a week at our meetings.
There is a lot of drama it seems from people who work in the office, so I'm glad I don't have to deal with that.

The intellectual challenges and patients and families. What I don't love is times like right now where I worked all day yesterday, was up all night on call and then have meetings all day today. There has to be a better way!

I work for myself, so I love the flexibility of making my own schedule and being my own boss!
I also get wined and dined alot by vendors (I'm a wedding planner).

It was my coworkers but just before I went on mat leave they laid them all off!!!! Not sure if I'll like any part of it now

people I work with (my boss and coworkers are awesome!), flexibility ( I can come in late and not get yelled at. I try not to take advantage of this), very family oriented (DD comes into work sometimes and my coworkers bring in their kids and we all help entertain them).

I like the cushy office I have here, which I wouldn't get at the same job in any other company. I like that the work load is minimal and it's low stress. When I leave work for the day, I LEAVE WORK. I don't ever think about it at home.
I could do without a few of the people though...

My kiddos. They are categorized as "at-risk," so low income or Spanish speaking. I LOVE them. I have 18 little 5 year olds who have stolen my heart, even when they drive me crazy. I think I will cry at their graduation next week.

@mediagirl: Wow - that is rare and amazing!
I love that I get to talk to people all day and I also get to help them in fairly significant ways. It's super fulfilling and almost never dull.

Ability to work from home...not being questioned re hours worked. If your work gets done, it's all good. Great benefits too!

My boss. He's very understanding, caring, sweet & flexible. Just a stand up guy. And he always backs all of us up that work in his department. Good pay & benefits. Relatively stress free. Don't ever have to bring work home or work overtime.
