I love a simple oil and vinegar dressing. But if I had to choose a REAL dressing, it would be French. I like sour/sweet.

Italian dressing and not the creamy Italian dressing.
Also, if there is a fruity vinaigrette, I'll definitely take that.

I usually just put balsamic. But I like Caesar or a real dressing.

I love balsamic vinegar, but theres a pizza place near us that makes homemade dressings and they have a creamy basil thats outta this world!

Ranch, ranch, and more ranch! I think it's a Midwest thing because almost everyone I know orders ranch. I frequently dream of The Cheesecake Factory's ranch which you can buy a bottle of. Delicious!

@banana: Ewwwwwwwww - the colour of it! I only like it in Big Macs (that's the sauce they use, right?)...I used to think it was ketchup, mustard, relish and mayo all mixed together.

I like caesar, thousand island, french and italian. I have different cravings for different days

I often make my own balsamic w/ 2 parts olive oil, 1 part balsamic vinegar, and a little bit of dijon mustard and/or honey to help emulsify the dressing when I mix it.
From the store though, I have a weak spot for Ken's Italian dressing. We can't find it in our grocery store in Cali for some reason, so we have DH's mom ship it to us.

@rubies: LOL! Yeah, the color isn't all that great but I love the way it tastes. Specifically I like Lawry's spinning bowl salad dressing, which is like a Thousand Island type of dressing. So good! I used to make my own by mixing ketchup/mayo//relish too!

I love balsamic. I've never tried French because I don't like the color. I may have to try it one day.

Newman's Own light honey mustard does makes my heart happy. I know, it's weird. But at restaurants I'll usually go for balsamic.

It's a tie between plain old balsamic vinaigrette and that apple-y dressing that comes on the fuji apple chicken salad at Panera.

I like vinegrettes, especially balsamic and ceasar.

@twodoghouse: OMG, I love that salad dressing that comes with the Fuji apple chicken salad!

@mediagirl: do you not like salad.either? People always look at me.like.I'm crazy when I say that. But I don't like.lettuce or tomatoes, or anything that comes on salad.other than the cheese and croutons

I love Ken's Italian (full fat) and also Newman's Own Creamy Caesar. Yum yum.

Ranch.... Especially Hidden Valley... they don't have it here, so I've had to have some shipped over.

@artbee: I don't like salad either. I'll eat a caeser if it's drowning in cheese and dressing, but only because it masks the lettuce. Oh and if it has awesome croutons, that's a bonus.

It's a tie between Gazebo Room Greek Salad Dressing (I'm pretty sure they actually put crack in it) and a balsamic honey vinaigrette that I make.

my go to is balsamic vinegar, but i also like ranch, italian and thousand island. and a good poppy seed if i can find one.

I've never met a salad dressing I didn't like! I like them all.
At home, I use balsamic glaze, I like that it sticks to the salad.
French is something different in parts of Europe, it's like a very thin creamy italian/ranch combo.
