I need a hobby...dudes. help me. I need something other than TV to do with my free time that's at home, not too expensive and can be picked up/left off fairly easily.
Have you taught yourself to craft/sew etc? What do you do for a hobby??

@babyjmama: It's not! It's a little confusing at first but you get the hang of it quickly.
This girls series is good too. A little more basic.

Oh i have so many hobbies, but some of them are not cheap. Crossfit, photography, sewing, knitting.....they are time consuming! And the fabric costs can be high. I do love reading, too. And lately it's been home improvement projects.

I used to love doing word puzzles. I loved those huge books of like 500 variety word games. Ok... I was a nerd.
Now I like to try a bit of photography. Maybe try some pinterest crafty ideas if I feel like it.

I sew and craft... but i've been sewing since i was about 12. Cross stitch is a good one to pick up easily. Craft stores have kits that range from super easy to very challenging

I love to cook. In addition to regular meals, I love making big batches of salsas, pasta sauces, and stocks to freeze for later. The house smells so good - you can do things in parts, for me it's just so much fun!
I also love to read, do various crafts and I make miniature food out of clay.

I am in the same boat! I need a hobby too! I do crossfit and run, which I enjoy BUT part of it is for health/staying in shape rather than just for pleasure. I used to love to read, but lately books just don't keep my attention. I need something I do purely for pleasure but can't pinpoint what that would be...

@Amelieisme: I'm the same way with books! I think I'm going to start some DIY crafts. We are closing on our new house this month so I need lots of stuff to decorate with, this house is like twice the size of our old house!
Okay, my options:
DIY decorations
crocheting
sewing
drinking heavily

knitting, reading, and working out. I wish I had more exciting hobbies!

@babyjmama: I taught myself how to crochet from youtube as well and once you get started it isn't really all that hard at all!

Reading!!!
I taught myself to crochet, it was so easy! But I've yet to actually make anything. LOL
I'd like a more active hobbie but I don't know what yet.

@babyjmama: LOL @ drinking heavily!! DH and I are pretty good at that one
I've been pretty lame lately. I used to be really into scrapbooking, but I've lost the time for it. I wish I could get into a hobby that wasn't so messy!

My "active" hobby is pole dancing, lol. I also sew, crochet, paint and do various crafty things. I also plan parties. Haha. That counts, right?

Baking, reading, yoga, cooking and entertaining friends, photography, gardening.
I really want to start needlepoint/cross stitch so I can make funny ones/pop sayings. On my mind right now: "Live every week like its Shark Week."

Scrapbooking (digital too), crafting, reading, does Pinterest count?

Can shopping be my hobby? I don't spend a lot of money, but I love looking for deals (mainly for LO) via ebay, consignment sales, thrift shops, etc.
Fishing with DH, weather permitting

Updating LO's memory book/daily journal

My hobbies: reading, crafting, photography (if I had a bettetr camera I would take this more seriously), and shopping (which is a bad hobby since it can be $$$)

photography (<---- shocker, haha)
I used to do cross stitching. It's a good activity to keep you from eating while watching TV (same with knitting, etc). I really should take it up again, just to make one of these

I need some more hobbies. Currently I love photography but I've been too lazy to take and edit photos. I bought crochet stuff but haven't taken the time to teach myself. I like to sew, but I can't figure out why my stupid cheap sewing machine breaks the thread every time I try to sew something.

@Shutterbug: Bahahahahaha those crack me up!!!
I'd LOVE to get into photography but I'm too poor for a nice camera haha!

I like to hike and horseback ride. I also go walking a lot. I like to call anyone and everyone to meet me for a walk. Its fairly effortless and you can chat, listen to music, whatever. Same with hiking, just requires more effort.
@Lindsay05: I do count wine and amateur bartending as hobbies. Lets be friends!
@Shutterbug: I want the second one so bad! I would take up cross stitching just to make something like that. I'd laugh the whole time.

I used to sracpbook but it's been quite awhile since I've done any (need to start on G's 1-10 years here soon). I also enjoy party planning (which I also do as part of my job now) & DIY crafts.
