We have a zoo about 20 minutes from us, and it's a decent size and it's pretty nice. There are other ones within an hour or two, but we haven't visited those ones yet.
Admission for our local zoo is $10 per adult, and $8 per kid. So $36 for our family of 4 to visit the zoo. I think if we feel we will go more than twice this year we should get an annual pass. I think those run $80-$100 for a family.

Our zoo is $25 per adult and $19 per kid over age 3. The aquarium is even more steep ($32/$21). Our toddler is still free but after paying for parking and lunch, it's a real indulgence to take him.

We are members of the Toronto zoo, which is $195 for a family/year plus $50 for a parking pass.
Daily rates vary in winter vs summer, but in the summer it is $28/adult and $18 for kids 3 and up.
We love the zoo, and having a membership means going for an hour or two doesn't seem like a waste!

@Bao: The Atlanta Zoo is $25 per adult for admission, and LO is free until age 3. We are going to buy a companion pass, which is 2 adult passes for $87 (work discount).

daily fees are $14 per adult $10 for kids 2 and older.
family membership annually for 2 adults and up to six kids is only $79 for us since we're in the tricounty area. $89 for those outside of the three nearby counties
We go a few times a year so the membership def makes sense for us!

$5 for adults and children 1 and up. Thursdays are $3.50. Parking is free. It's a small zoo but perfect for toddlers and preschoolers because you can see all the animals in a half-day at a leisurely price. The food is reasonable too.

$12 for adults and $9 for kids (2-12). An annual Family Plus membership is $105, which I got for ~$55 via Groupon + coupons + Ebates. 
I'm getting that money back already with the money saved for DD1's birthday party since members get a discount! 
Groupon also regular sells admission tickets so I can get our family of 4 in for less than the price of two full priced admissions.

I think it's about €17 per adult (kids are free until 18). We get two annual passes, which are about €45/year each and we go probably 6-8 times a year.

I honestly have no idea because we have an annual family membership (which I just renewed for $100).
It's a great deal for me because we go there about once a week, park on the street to avoid paying for parking, and bring our own food. In addition to the animals, it's littered with cool playgrounds and places to explore - plus it has an indoor play area!

$20/adult and $15/child. The cost of admission is a major deterrent for me because there are better and much cheaper ways to see animals nearby (lots of free nature centers and parks, but admittedly they don't have tigers...), plus it's often crowded, which I think is unpleasant. If I'm going to drop that much on an outing, I greatly prefer the botanic garden!

@woodentulip: The Toronto Zoo membership is the best money I ever spent. We go all the time and it doesn't matter if we only see three animals and go on the carousel.

Our county zoo, which is the closest to us, is $4 for adults and $2 for children over 3. It's smaller, but still great and we love it. It also has a carousel and train ride. The larger, nicer zoo is 30 minutes away and cost $14 for adults and $12 for children over 2. We rarely go there, but when we do, it's usually with my in laws (who live 5 min away) so we get to go for free

I have no idea. Someone got us an annual pass for our local zoo (20min away), but I'm pretty sure the pass pays for itself in like 2-3 family visits. The pass includes free parking, too. It's great because we can just go for like 1.5-2hrs instead of feeling like I have to get my money's worth with a full-day visit.

The zoo I go to most often is $16 for adults and $12 for kids over 3. Plus $9 to park. However I have a family pass, I paid $106 this year. The pass includes admission and parking. We generally bring snacks and drinks to the zoo but the prices for food aren't bad and the food is pretty good. I do however think it's important to point out this zoo is 1.5 hours from my house and I have a zoo about 25 minutes from house.

I don't remember prices (but I know they're higher than yours!) but if we went to the zoo more than once, it made sense to buy a membership. So we bought one in the fall and went 3 times just in the fall/early winter. I can't wait for this summer! My sons's only 6 months, so it's mostly for us, but my husband and I love the zoo and my son just likes getting outside!

When I lived abroad I was shocked at the cost of a daily admission to the zoo...it made sense to buy the yearly pass if you went once a year, which is crazy to me.
We don't go to the zoo around here, but we should. We've visited the one in Central Park in NYC and that was around $20 per adult and $15 per child.

Same as @Tanjowen: (Atlanta zoo). We haven't taken LO yet but hope to this summer. Supposedly the local libraries each have a family pass (for a family of 4) that you can borrow once per year - we might see if we can take advantage of that.

I'm in NYC so the Bronx zoo (which is the best & biggest of our NYC zoos) has $34 admission for adults (total experience tickets) or $20 general admission and $24 for kids age 3 & up or $14 kids general admission. So $92 total experience or $54 general admission for my family of 4 to go (because our newborn is free) There is also a fee for parking which is $23.
We get the yearly membership pass for $195. It gives us free parking and admission to the 4 NYC zoos and the Brooklyn aquarium. Such a great deal considering the entry fees!

We have two nearby, which are in the same "network" but one is bigger. That one is $20/adult and $13/child and the smaller one is $16/adult and $12/child. Membership for a family is $110/year and gets you into both zoos, so for a family of 4, it pays itself off even if you just visit each zoo once.
We don't have a membership though because the larger zoo is harder for us to get to and the smaller, closer one is really sort of sad. We brought LO once last year and decided to never return.

In our town we have a smaller children's zoo and the admission is 10 for an adult & 9 for kids 2- 12. (2 and under are free.) We have a duel membership to this zoo & the children's museum that we paid 125 for (with a corporate discount form my company.) totally worth it in my mind to have both year round.
We have the #1 rated zoo in the world that is about an hour from us, this is like $15-20 a person to get in, but with our local zoo membership we get 50% off which to us is a win win! We like to go 2x a year, it's incredible but so large it's an all day thing!

@looch: yes! It's the Bronx zoo, Central Park zoo, Brooklyn zoo, Queens zoo & Brooklyn aquarium. The free parking only applies to the Bronx zoo and the aquarium (the other zoos don't have designated lots.
