I'm currently 23w3d and so far I haven't had any issue with acid reflux or heartburn, but I feel like it's inevitable and will be creeping up on me pretty soon. When (if at all) did acid relux/heartburn start for you during your pregnancy?

I'm interested in this too as I've had heartburn from time to time before I was pregnant so a bit worried about how much worse it might get later on

I rarely had it before I was pregnant and now at 24w 5d I feel like I'm popping TUMS like candy.

It started for me at 33 weeks (only lasted 2ish weeks) for this pregnancy and after 37 weeks for my first. Maybe you won't get any!

I want to say heartburn started around 22 weeks. We were on vacation and I had to stop and buy Tums. I ended up going through five big bottles by the time LO arrived. Oh it was miserable. Fingers crossed you don't get it.

I had terrible heartburn & acid reflux before pregnancy, so I was expecting it to be horrible the entire time. Luckily (and strangely) I had basically zero heartburn until I think 25-26 weeks? Now, at 28 weeks, I have it almost daily, and it sucks! I usually get up in the middle of the night to take a sip or two of milk (my weird heartburn cure :p).

Started around 32 weeks for me. I'm 33 and change now and I have to take Tums in the middle of the night when woken up by reflux. I had never had it before in my life and loved spicy foods. Now I can barely handle the acidity of tomato sauce!

Hmmm I think it was around 32 weeks and it got pretty bad the last couple of weeks starting at around 36 weeks.

I'm so glad you asked this!! I'm 26 weeks and I haven't had it yet... I'm hoping that the pregnancy gods will spare me this one because they gave me stretch marks at the end of the first trimester!!

I'm not sure I ever had it before pregnancy, but it popped up a couple times at 20 to 21 weeks. Now I'm 23 weeks and haven't had it regularly (yet...)

I didn't have heartburn pre-pregnancy so I'm hoping not to get it also. However, looks like 30+ weeks looks to be a common theme here. Yikes! I'm currently 24+3. Not looking forward to it.

I was just wondering this today! Thanks for asking - I've had bad heartburn pre-pregnancy, so I feel like I'm a ticking time bomb.

@Cherrybee: Haha you totally deserve to not get acid reflux for that!
@mrsjyw: I had a ton of hair when I was born just like your little guy. If this baby has that much and what they say is true, I am going to have it really bad, too!

@lawbee11: OMG! you ladies are so lucky! i've had horrible reflux/heartburn/indegestion since the first trimester!!!!!!!! it's awful. i could eat a piece of plain white bread and within 5 minutes have heartburn i keep saying she better come out with the fullest/longest hair EVER! haha

Around beginning of third tri. Midwife approved zantac and it works like a charm! I also sleep propped up which really helps.

I never really did! I also kept waiting and wondering, and then fearing a bald little girl, but I got heartburn about twice during pregnancy, and my little girl came out with a full head of hair! There is hope

Never got it.
ETA: I also never had heartburn/reflux pre-pregnancy. Not sure if there's a connection.

@sarbear: yup, me too. half way through the 1st trimester, it started, and basically didn't go away (at ALL. like, it wasn't just at night or anything) until i gave birth. i'd never had heartburn before in my life.
everything made it worse. sometimes even eating TUMS made it worse!!
luckily LO was born with a full head of hair so at least i can pretend the heartburn was good for something

Ive had reflux since before I even knew I was pregnant and I never had it prior to being pregnant. It has gotten worse since about 28 weeks though.

I've had reflux on and off, throughout my pregnancy. However, it's been horrific for the past three weeks (3rd tri).

Umm 8 weeks?! Hoping it lets up soon and I'm heartburn free at least for the second trimester. I never had it pre-pregnancy.
