I had read that babies (in the womb) are sensitive to light. So one night (I must have been 21-25 weeks, somewhere in there), we got under the covers (to make it super dark) and then shined a flashlight right onto my bare belly and our LO just totally kicked up a storm. That's when hubs felt her for the first time. Then he scolded me for torturing the poor thing so we stopped doing in.

DH felt her the day of our anatomy scan. I was a little over 19 weeks.

I believe it was when I was just over 21 weeks. It was our first wedding anniversary and we had just woken up so I was laying down. She always used to kick around mid-morning so I was super excited that he took the day off and got to feel it!

Dh felt our second one move at about 15 weeks, we did the shining a light on my belly thing. I can't remember when either of us started to feel #1 move around.

I felt movement at 17 weeks, and my husband felt them a week later- but he was gone for that whole week. I think if we'd tried earlier he would have felt it, because I could feel it from the outside if I put my hand there. Our doctor said my placenta is in the back, and I'm a small person, so that is why he felt it so soon. Its hard to get the timing right though. I'm already anxious about Christmas, because I can imagine all our family members sitting around with hands on my belly for 10 minutes until they feel a kick!

I'm 23 weeks, and I've been feeling movement for a while now (since 17 or 18 weeks), but mostly it still feels light and fluttery. This week is the first time I've felt any movements that were strong enough I wandered if I could have felt them from the outside. They are still inconsistent though, so I haven't had DH try to feel them this week. I'm sure my belly chub doesn't help! Maybe I'll try the flashlight thing!
