When did someone throw you a shower/offer to throw you one? I'm 5 months and no one has really mentioned it! I was visiting family back home from VA (I live in MT) and they had a mini-shower for me, just books, onesies, and a few gift cards. Everyone was asking "oh, has anyone offered to throw you a shower?" No one has, and I'm a little nervous! Not to be greedy, but we could really really use the help getting prepared. We just moved to a new town an hour and a half away so I'm not surprised no one here has offered, but we have tons of family around. Plus I'd just be a little sad if no one offered - like not being asked to the prom!

My showers weren't until I was into my third trimester. I was due in the beginning of March and the showers were in late December (not my choosing actually!) and beginning of February. But, there was talk of showers I would say in like October of that year.

We live across the country from our family and friends and we are new to this area so I didn't really get a shower either. We did have people send small gifts and gift cards to us though, which was nice.

We're having one shower in two weeks when we visit DH's family. That one is more about timing that we'll be there. I have a few friends who are planning a co-ed shower in our town in late October. I'll only be 25 weeks then, but because we're having twins, I wanted to have a shower earlier in case I go on bed rest, the babies come early, etc...

I had a small group "friend" offer to throw me one when we told her I was pregnant. FF 35 weeks and she didn't bring it up, so my SIL ended up organizing it for us.
I had my baby shower at 37 weeks and the entire process stressed me out. -.- -
Mine was at 36 weeks, and my MIL/SIL started talking about it when I was around 28 or so weeks? Maybe even 29 or 30 weeks, I don't remember,

My mom, sister, and sil threw mine, it was kind of a given they would. Ever since the first wedding, which was my sils, it was the group of us doing showers and parties fir the other girls.

My boss offered to host my local shower pretty much as soon as she found out I was pregnant. My mom and I started talking about my shower at home when I was about 16 weeks. That shower was supposed to be today (I'm 29 weeks) but unfortunately we had to cancel because I'm unable to travel due to some complications with my pregnancy. So my parents are going to host a "meet the baby" party in the spring.

Someone briefly said something when we first announced, but I only knew that second hand. After that, it wasn't until I was in my third trimester that it ended up happening. One had been planning on it and my family threw a last minute one too.

Three of my friends threw me one, and they told me they wanted to in early June I think? and the shower was at the end of August. My mom and sister also threw one, which my mom told me about in May or so, and it was yesterday (I'm 33 weeks).

My shower is not scheduled until I am almost 36 weeks and is being hosted by my sister-in-law who lives on the other side of the country! It has been a bit of a logistical obstacle with her living so far away. It means so much to me that she has been planning this for me but I had been really nervous that no one would bring it up. A few of my friends will be assisting with the party

My older sister and I didn't start talking about the baby shower until I was about 6 1/2 months. It's planned for week 35. Pregnancy is long. I think people may not think about it much until they get a visual reminder from the belly!

For our wedding, we had two showers (one in my hometown and one in DH's hometown). For the baby showers, my hometown one has been planned for a long time and is taking place when I am 34 weeks along.
We just finally set the date for the baby shower in DH's hometown. I was 28 weeks along when we finally set the date. I'll be 35 weeks when the shower takes place.

I think my best girlfriends offered to throw me a shower when I was about 4 months along. We ended up having the shower around 34. My work shower was a little later (around 36 weeks?), and at first, I wasn't sure if I was going to be getting one b/c no one talked about it, but it turned out they just weren't sure whether to keep it a surprise or not.

When she was three months old? We always have showers after the baby is born here.

because of the holidays before i'm due, and my SILs schedules, we set a date pretty early on, maybe 14 weeks? kinda crazy, but my SIL is in production, so she had to give a huge heads up to make sure she was free since she's hosting.
i had other friends offer to throw me a local friends shower (my family is about 3 hours away from where i currently live) a couple weeks ago. one shower will be around 29w and the other around 31w. i think due to the holidays, it made everything a little more urgent to set dates.

I didn't have a shower. It's not very common here in Sweden.

I didn't have a shower, but I am personally not into them, so I wasn't sad at all we didn't have one. I think it is the responsibility of the parents to make sure that the basics are covered and if people want to buy a gift for the baby, that's great too, but totally not expected or required.

I feel really ridiculous for worrying about it (that's too strong of a word). I'm not a big gift person - bridal shower was awkward! But these aren't really gifts for me but for the baby anyway. Since I'm due right after Christmas, I think I'm thinking people would want to get it out of the way before the holidays. I'd think my MIL or my aunt-in-law (who is more like a SIL) would mention it, but I have no idea what the etiquette is with showers and family and who offers.
Of COURSE we will provide/be able to provide all the necessities for our child and don't expect people to outfit our baby gear for us. But we just moved, just graduated grad school, just started new jobs, are having the oldest grandkid on both sides so don't have any family to give us hand-me-downs and so some help would just be really, really appreciated, you know?
I keep seeing shower ideas on pinterest and really want a friend to get pregnant so I can throw her one, but no one I know is really close to that! Boo.

we didnt have a shower. A few people offered but I declined because I wanted to have a big party after the baby arrived. ll those who offered, did so around 5 to 7 months because thats when I told them

My shower is set for November 3rd. I'm due January 7th, so I'll be 31 weeks. It's early due to the holidays and the fact that my sister who's one of the hostesses is a flight attendant and needs a long lead time to make sure she's off. Also my Aunt who's co-hosting is coming in from Wisconsin and is hoping to beat winter weather.
I also think some friends might have something up their sleeves but I'm not sure and it's kinda of rude to ask. Awkward because they are on the guest list for the Nov. shower.
I might get a little something at work. There have been things for some folks, seems to usually be departmental in nature. My department's weird because we're spread all over the country.

My mom threw me a shower at 31 weeks with my friends/her friends. MIL and SIL are throwing one for us this Saturday- I’ll be 35 weeks!
