I'm almost 26 weeks and they're starting to be more like a hard jab, the ones that make your tummy move, they don't hurt but are definitely not the same as they were!!

I'm 30w, and the kicks to the cervix have definitely been uncomfortable for a few weeks now, but the jabs have gotten very painful in the last few days. She doesn't seem to like me lying on my side (either one!), and jabs the heck out of my ribs. Sleeping has become difficult

I'm 28 weeks and they aren't uncomfortable yet. The ones on my cervix don't feel good, but it's not painful, just weird. The rest so far are just nice reminders that there is a baby in there. They are still novel to me so I still love them.

@Bookworm: I think what's making them more uncomfortable is they're just above my belly button (she's transverse) so no kicks to the ribs just a head and a butt there! That might be the reason for no kicks to my cervix either.
@Foodnerd81: Baby girl was pretty quiet last night and this morning, but this afternoon she is totally letting me know she's in there! I still love it, but holy smokes she's been jabbing me for close to 45 minutes now!

It wasn't kicks so much as every night she would seem to move her arm or leg right up in my rib cage, which was so uncomfortable!

I never really felt discomfort with the kicks actually, I got lucky! I never even experienced a rib kick.

@Bao: I was the same way! LO never kicked me in the ribs and as he got bigger and there was less room for him, the movements became more sweeping motions across my belly that didn't hurt at all.

The fist time, five months. Second time, nearly seven. More room/already stretched out.

@Bao: @jodyblair: @jmarionsmith: me too! yay for awesome babies who didn't give jabs to the ribs or cervix

Last week (24 weeks), LO started doing something weird in there that makes me nauseaous. I don't know what is being jabbed in there, but it's not pleasant!

@Foodnerd81: Ditto!! Cervix ones are weird, but not painful. Movements are still a new surprise to me even though I can see my belly move. Love feeling him move!!!

@StbHisMrs: This baby definitely likes to make him or herself known in the morning. I like to think of it as our special time though-- DH gets up before me, so it's just me and baby laying in bed. After dinner last night, though, I swear something was jabbing about an inch past my belly-- I hadn't seen it move that much before!

They were really off and on after 30 weeks. Kicks in the cervix hurt! At 37 weeks he's about out of room, but the shoving doesn't feel good! And when he was breech is when I hurt the worst. Baby's head doesn't feel so good in my ribs.

I would get a kind of bruised feeling from where her butt is pushing out around 30-34 weeks. That was probably the worst. Now at almost 37 weeks I get a lot more pushing and fewer kicks. The most uncomfortable is when it feels like she's trying to stretch her arms and legs out at the same time!

@StbHisMrs: Yep, she was transverse for a couple weeks a while back, and it was awwwwful. I felt like the entire top of my abdomen was getting all stretched out (in a painful way). I feel for you, that's a super painful position. LO luckily seems to have moved to at least semi-up and down, so now all her kicks are right at my belly button, which is still painful, but nothing like the transverse.
