Itd be special to tell on Mother's Day. We told around 12 weeks with both kids.

Everyone was in waves -- 5 weeks for my parents, 6 weeks for my sister (only sibling), 8 weeks for remainder of immediate family

My timing was exactly like yours, but we waited until 12 weeks.

We told D's family at 7wks. It was Christmas, and everyone was together, and we didn't want to pass up the opportunity. We told my family at 8wks, after our first ultrasound.

5 weeks, because we went home to visit, and I was really sick. There was no way to hide it. By that time, they knew we were TTC, though. With my first BFP, I miscarried before we told them I was pregnant, and they had no idea we were trying. The phone call to tell them that I had lost the baby was pretty rough, both for me and for them.

All this to say, do what feels right to you. There's no best answer here.

ETA: this was for my parents. I didn't tell my sisters until 9 or 10 weeks, and my extended family found out at 13 weeks, on my grandma's birthday.

We waited til 9 weeks. I wanted a few ultrasounds under my belt before we told anyone.

I told my parents a few days after I found out, the first time I saw them in person (4 weeks). I just knew I'd never be able to keep a secret like that from my mom because I talk to her every day. We told my inlaws, our siblings, and our grandparents after we saw a heartbeat and on track growth at our 8 week ultrasound. We went full public at 13 weeks.

We found out the weekend before Thanksgiving, then saw family over the holiday but didn't tell anyone except my one sister, who is also the only one who knew specifically that we were trying. We told immediate family after the first prenatal appt, even though we didn't have an ultrasound, since we were together for Christmas, so it was around 8-9 weeks. I couldn't have hidden it over Christmas, sharing a house with DH's family and having morning (all day) sickness. Plus it was fun to share when we were all together.

I told my mom almost immediately at lunch and we told the in laws around 6 weeks, my sisters figured it out around 7. I wasn't one that wanted to keep it quiet from those closest to me because those would be the ones I would want to lean on for support if we were to have a loss. So pretty much we told everyone who would know if we had a miscarriage within the first 2 months.

Told my sisters ASAP, my parents at 5 weeks and Dhs parents and sister at 6w. The rest of our family at 9w after we heard the heartbeat.

We announced to our families after our 10 week appointment. We'd seen the HB 3 times and having had 2 prior losses, we knew miscarrying after that point would mean medical intervention that we'd tell our folks about anyway.

9 weeks for my parents and MIL, because we were together in person (rare) plus I was sick and not drinking so it would have been strange. Extended family members - in waves at different times until 12-13 weeks when I told friends, work etc.

We told family shortly after we heard the heartbeat.

We didn't tell in laws and grandparents until 14 weeks. My mom knew earlier than that and so did my brother.

We put this tshirt on my chihuahua to tell my parents at 8 weeks, we will tell my mil next weekend (mothers day in UK) by putting a scan pic in a grandmothers day card

We were planning on waiting when I got KU the first time, but after going through a miscarriage, I'm not even considering telling before 12 weeks.

I think you should go with whatever you feel comfortable with.

I told my parents around 7 weeks or so. They figured it out pretty quickly. We didn't tell my inlaws until 13 weeks or so. We did the big FB announcement around 20 weeks or so AFTER my MIL announced a day before we did.

We told both of our families around 5-6 weeks.

We told our families (parents, siblings, and my grandmother) a week after we found out, a few days before Christmas. It just happened to work out that we found out before going home for Christmas (we live 8 hours away from our families), and it was very fun to be able to tell people in person! I also figured that if something went wrong, I'd want them to know about it.

Ugh, like 3 hours after I tested?! Needless to say, I'm not the best secret-keeper in the world....
