My hospital was an hour away! It was kind of a PITA, yes. But I toured that one and the one that was closest to me (still 20 minutes away), and I like the further away one MUCH better.

I think it's fine to wait until 12 weeks to switch. You can switch at any time! But since you're already thinking about it, I'd research your options (both doctor and hospital), so when you're ready to weigh your options, take tours, interview providers, etc you've already got all the info you need to do so.
