We had a name for each sex picked out by about 14 weeks. We discussed baby names several times through the years we were TTC. I've picked out a name for a potential second daughter. I'll have to convince DH though.

Middle name was picked years before, as I wanted to honor my favorite aunt who died from childbirth. First name was decided in February, and I was due in May. It came to me one night, and it was "the one."

Dd- the morning she was born but it was a name sort of at the top of our list since finding out the sex (we didn't talk names seriously before that)
Ds- his second day, right around the 24 hour mark. We picked a name we weren't even considering.

We were Team Green with DS, and went in duty like 4 girl makes and one boy name with 3 middle names. I made the decision immediately after he was born.
We found out at 16ish with DD, and her first name was non-negotiable for DH. I waffled about her middle name until about 36 weeks until we settled on one.

We didn't talk names until we found out the sex, and then it took a couple weeks to decide. We made the final choice week 22. I'm only 25 weeks now but we are fully set on her name

We actually decided on our front runner girl first name when I was pregnant the first time, which ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks. When we found out at 20 weeks with my next pregnancy that we were having a girl, we agreed that we would keep our first name pick. Her middle name wasn't decided until after she was born.

We had a short list, and named her our #1 choice, but her hospital wristband says baby girl M***** I had to meet her first.

One of the labor nurses asked what his name was going to be and I asked my husband if my name choice was going to be it and he wasn't going to disagree at that point!

We technically had names picked out before our anatomy scans but DSs middle name changed from Owen to James the day of the anatomy scan

We didn't announce the name till she was here, just in case we changed our minds. But we chose the first before she was born (it was very nearly R's first name). The middle name we settled on around 23 weeks.

Within a few weeks of knowing the gender. It was probably finalized by 16-17 weeks.

Around 20 weeks or so. There's no way I could wait until delivery! But it wasn't that difficult for us because DH and I actually have similar taste in names.

With DS, we knew before we were pregnant what our future boy's name would be.
With DD, we didn't pick it out until after she was born. But I knew from maybe 30 weeks on what I wanted to name her, but I needed to convince DH. So I left it alone, knowing he would cave once she was born (he loves it now and it 100% suits her).

With DD1, pretty soon after we found out the gender at 15 weeks.
With DD2, we weren't 100% sure about the name until around 36 weeks. She was born at 38.5 weeks.

I couldn't vote since we had two very different experiences.
LO1 - years before he was born. I had a dream that I had a baby and gave him his name. This was at least 5 years before I met my DH.
LO2 - we finally decided the day after she was born.

@runnerd: I'm pretty type A. I've had girls names for years and DH was find with them. Of course, we've had two boys. The first time I had names I loved right away. DH hated them all. Then at 30 weeks I put a random name out there and he agreed. I loved that it fit out criteria, that it went well with my girl name (in case baby 2 was a girl) and that there was finally a name!
This time at 6 weeks I had my boy name. DH has played the same game of not being sure but not suggesting anything. Now at 35 weeks he's said yes, mainly because he doesn't want to go over a list of names and debate.

@runnerd: ha ha it's gone so fast. I'm in so much pain and my anxiety/depression has been so bad the last 5 weeks have crawled by.

With DD1 we were sure shortly after the anatomy scan.
DD2 was named around 34 weeks.
DD3 will be here Tuesday and we're at an impasse.
