I'm going in tomorrow for my second midwife appointment! I'll be 11w2d. Just hoping to hear a heart beat to calm my nerves. What are the chances? When did you hear something?

I can't remember exactly, but it was between 10 and 12 - on a home doppler. It really depends on baby's position as well as your placenta. But I think you have a good shot to hear it!

We heard it at our 12 week appointment, but I remember the doctor saying it could be hard to find...don't be scared if you don't get to hear it yet!

I went in at 10w3d and couldn't hear it yet (baby was still tucked under my pubic bone). Then was back at 11w3d and could hear it loud and clear.

12 weeks. We didn't try any earlier, which I'm glad for. I didn't want them to be unable to find it and freak myself out for no reason when everything was fine

I didn't hear it until 16 weeks and again today at 24 weeks. Fortunately we did the NT scan at 12 weeks so we got to see her then and my mind was calmer for a while.

I have heard it twice (7w5d and 12w5d) but both were during an ultrasound. I was told they will use the doppler at 16w5d, which is my next appointment.

We couldn't hear it at 9 weeks, but were able to hear it at 13 weeks. I think they can usually hear it around 12 weeks, and for some women, even earlier! Good luck to you!

It must have been around 13 or 14 weeks. The second the midwife put the doppler on my belly we heard the heartbeat loud and strong. That was awesome!

My doc tried at 10 weeks and couldn't hear it yet. I didn't have another appt until 16 weeks and I heard it then. I think I heard it with my at home doppler around 13/14 weeks.

I saw it on an U/S at 9 weeks, but didn't hear it with the doppler until 13 weeks. They tried at 9 but it wasn't picking it up yet.

I can't remember exactly, but it was before then. I want to say 10ish weeks? It took her a minute to find it, though.

about 11.5 weeks with an at home doppler and i have a tilted uterus (which could've made it take longer to hear the HB)

We heard it at our 10 week appointment, and we both teared up a little

At my 8 week appt. at the first u/s then (they wanted to confirm the pregnancy after a m/c). 10 weeks on the doppler.

We tried at 10 weeks and couldn't get it my next appointment wasn't until 14 weeks, so that's when we heard it and it was the most beautiful sound!! My mw told me that they probably could have heard it for sure at 12 weeks.

With an abdominal doppler I heard it first at 11 weeks. But I had already heard it with an vaginal wand at 7 weeks

11w4d. That was my first appointment and I had a transvaginal ultrasound. ETA: I should have read more of the posts! Congratulations! I'm so happy you got to hear your little one's heartbeat!
