When did you get new bras while you were pregnant? My boobs grew when I went off the pill, and even before my BFP, only a couple of my bras felt comfortable right before my period. Now, I only have two I can wear at 1 month pregnant, so I'd like to buy more, but I don't want to buy a lot since obviously they will keep growing. Stretchy would be nice, but I need support. So what did you do during the transition time? This four-boob look isn't cute.

I suspect I may be alone in this, but at 25 weeks I still fit in my normal bras just fine. I did buy bra extenders to make the band wider so I can breathe easier--got mine at Target--but my cup size is the same, just slightly fuller.

I held off until 18 weeks, but I was spilling out pretty early, probably around 8 weeks. I'm cheap so I just dealt with it for 10 weeks and then gave in. I went up 2 cup sizes!! I just got some bras on sale as cheap as possible in case I need to go bigger :S

Somehow I missed your BFP annoucement! congrats! I got new bras at about 18 weeks pregnant...before that I kind of just stuck it out. If you can get cheap ones, I don't see anything wrong with buying them sooner though.

I think i couldn't take my bulging bras anymore around week 13. I was trying to resist and wearing the Genie Bras, but finally plunkered down and bought 3 different bras at Target. (One was strapless I needed for a wedding). So far, I am still using those ones so I am glad I bought early so I can wear them longer.
P.S. I got the Self Expressions brand that has the wire inside of a molded edge (if that makes sense?) They are SUPER comfortable and the bands don't dig in! I had the problem of my ribcage growing wider almost instantly!CONGRATS on you BFP!

Yeah I think it is partly ribcage. I have them on the loosest hooks already. But like I said, they were getting tight before my BFP so now I don't k ow when to get new ones. I'll tough it out til Christmas maybe and get some good sales then! -
I got new ones...the first time...around 8 or 10 weeks, up a cup size. I did it the second time around 22-24 weeks, up a band size. I'm 27 weeks and still fitting into those, for now. I couldn't see spending much on what clearly won't fit long anyway, so I hit up TJ Maxx and Nordstrom rack (that one's great for non-mainstream sizes) for cheap, but decent quality bras for until I need new ones again. I only bought 2-3 per size, and I do a lot if laundry.

I got 2 new bras that were a bigger band & cup around 15 weeks. Around 25 weeks I bought these http://www.amazon.com/Solutions-That-Stick-Brah-Extender/dp/B00519BD9C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353455639&sr=8-1&keywords=bra+extender and they've taken me through now (39).
I find Marshalls/TJMaxx is a great place to buy nicer quality bras for Target prices. I really like the Calvin Klein ones I got from there and they've held up amazingly for how hard they've been worn!

i got new bras around week 18 too. i went up 3 cup sizes. i tried to get cheap ones since i knew i'd only wear them for a few months but found them so uncomfortable that i ended up buying more, nicer bras. bra extenders are also great!

my boobs actually never grew during pregnancy. lame. I did buy coobie bras a few months in and still use those now breastfeeding.
one thing I would NOT do is buy nursing bras before you deliver, if you plan to breastfeed. you don't know what size you'll be, and underwire is the devil while breastfeeding, at least in my case. it's given me nothing but clogged ducts! I'd get 1 or 2 coobies to have handy for breastfeeding until your supply regulates and you know what size to go with. (BTW, 'PMBOGO' used to be a buy 1 get 1 code at coobie - dunno if it still works!). I apologize for all the extra info if you plan to FF

I bought new bras between 6 and 8 weeks pregnant as I was two cup sizes bigger already. They've lasted me so far (33 weeks).

I bought two new bras in my sixth week of pregnancy - one band size bigger and sans wires because my regular bras hurt so badly! Now the soreness has settled down a bit, but I am definitely topping out on my pre-pregnancy bras so I have a feeling I'm going to need to shop again soon...

@tororojo: You're not alone, sadly. Lol. I'm 28w and still wearing my regular bras. I need the expanders any day now, but haven't gotten them yet.

@sorrycharlie: Good point on the nursing bras. I do plan to BF so that's a good idea on the coobie bras. Plus it seems like a lot of ladies just wear nursing tanks for a while in the beginning, which sounds pretty good to me.

I bought a nice one around 12 or 14 weeks - big mistake. I grew out of it so fast (36DDD) and then went and bought a new one again around 20 weeks or so. I got a couple and they are great (38DDD). I tried on the ones with no underwire and was in heaven!! I dont know how or if I will go back to an underwire bra!

I was able to borrow some from my mom around 10 weeks - luckily she had just cleaned out her drawers and gotten rid of some that were too small for her, but perfect for my new size. Then around 30? weeks I bought two more bigger ones at Marshalls. I went from a 36B to a 38D by the time I gave birth.

@tororojo: I'm the same as you. I'm 25 weeks at the moment and still fit in the same bras as always. The cups are just a little fuller and I had to put the bra on a looser setting, but otherwise, no new bras needed yet.

@tororojo: If it makes you feel any better, only ONE of my boobs has actually gotten any bigger! And it was ALREADY the bigger of the two! So I have one that's definitely a little full for my current cup size and then I have one that's small and doesn't really fill it. Stupid boobs.

I bought the bra expander thing pretty early on. Around 20-25 weeks, I bit the bullet and bought new bras. I went to a higher end place and explained my situation and they fit me for very supportive bras that had some stretch, so I was able to wear them my entire pregnancy.

@Bluebonnet: Oh that sounds like exactly what I want-- supportive but with stretch! Not yet-- I'll wait until later and will get something cheap to get me through for a few months, but it's good to know that exists.

By 7 weeks pregnant, I had already gone from a 34C to a 34DD. At around 25 weeks, I bought new ones again in a 36DD.

I bought a few Coobie bras around 10 weeks because my underwire bras were no longer comfortable. So I have no idea how much my boobs have grown, and I'm now 33 weeks. I'm waiting until right before my due date to go get fitted for some nursing bras. Other than that, I've been living in my Coobies.

I want to say around 18-20 weeks. I bought a nursing bra without underwire at Motherhood maternity and it is WONDERFUL. I think it was just their house brand.

Buy nursing bras: they really accommodate a changing body well! I recommend Hot Milk brand. I wore mine from 33 weeks on. They felt a little too big at 33 weeks, a little too small in the first couple weeks, and feel wonderful now (7 months in), but looked appropriate at all stages (no double boob). My only regret was not getting them earlier and I wish I could buy more. My cheaper nursing bra was comfortable at first but has not survived all the washing.
I hope the other one grows and catches up!
