I had loads of them during my last pregnancy (2012), but when I called to make my initial appointment with this pregnancy, they said an ultrasound wasn't necessary. I tried to request one, but they said with insurance changes, most insurances won't cover one at this point unless it is medically necessary. I'm totally bummed and plan to call my ins. co to find out what they cover. I must've had like 5 with my son...

with #1, not until the NT scan at 12 weeks. with #2, at 7ish weeks, but only because I didn't know when I was due. if I had known my due date, it would have been at the NT scan

I had to wait until 12 weeks and it was really difficult! But it was also really special. And I took comfort that I must have been low risk enough to not need extra ultrasounds.

11.5 weeks. I didn't want to have a lot of ultrasounds so the wait wasn't hard.
