after my water broke at 37w2d.
I have heard other mama's say that their plug went long before labour actually started though.

Never lost it with #1 (til active labor)... started to slowly lose it at 36 weeks the second time around.

About 2 hours before my water broke at 39 weeks.
@BabyBoecksMom: haha, I remember that, I was so jealous!

It's not anything I have to call my doctor about right? I had some mild cramps (3 or 4 maybe) this afternoon and now DH is doing research that says it can be a sign of placental abruption and I want to murder him.
But in general, I can just tell my doc at my appointment next week? It doesn't sound like it's a sign of anything or that they'd really do anything...

@NYCaliMama: I wonder too if it's just a piece. There's no blood and I had my first cervical exam yesterday so I bet he just jarred something loose

@lemondrop: LOL! Tables turned because I was so jealous that you had Cam over a week before I had Willa
You were the 4th person I knew that went into labor early, and I was 5 days late. So funny how that happens.

During active labor here too! (And my water never broke until the midwife ruptured it.)
I'd imagine it's just because you had an exam. You could call in the morning just to put your mind at ease, it's usually worth it

@ladyfingers: Cramps in late-term pregnancy are very common. A friend lost her plug at 38 weeks and had no issues. I wouldn't worry too much unless the cramps are timeable or you start bleeding. I'd call to ease your mind though.

I have not lost mine yet but my L&D nurses during class told us not to call. Said it was fine and we may loose them a few weeks before going into labor. I have been cramping so much recently I keep checking myself for mine. LOL

I started losing mine around 36 weeks. It came out a little at a time over the next 4 weeks.

The same day my water broke at 40 weeks with my first and the same day of my induction at 40 weeks with my second.

I think I lost it in parts, idk I was confused. I lost a huge chunk at 37 weeks and then more at 39 weeks right before going into labor.

I think I had lost bits and pieces but I lost the large majority right when my first contraction started (I gave birth 13 hours later).

I had been having contractions for about 2 hours when it fell out. I had the baby 12 hours later.

I lost a big chunk around 38 weeks and then smaller bits up until labor started on my due date.
I'm sure your cervical exam just loosened thing up in there. Unless you have timeable contractions or real bleeding I wouldn't worry.

@coacheswife123: lol I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon!

I started losing mine around 37 weeks and kept losing bits for 2 weeks until I was eventually induced at 39 weeks! The first pregnancy I never lost mine until I delivered, I guess.
