For lack of a better word, when did you start following the "rules" about what is safe/not safe during pregnancy, including medications, alcohol, food, etc.?

I did at the beginning after my bfp. But I then had an ob who was pretty lax, said just don't eat somewhere that looks dirty etc. And I decided to go with the uk and french recommendations which are way less restrictive than ours. Baby is big and healthy and still cooking at 39 weeks

Once I got my BFP I would stop alcohol and meds, but I really don't do anything special as far as food is concerned.

Once I got a BFP. When we were TTC I was mindful of medications during the tww but not strict, just aware. Drinking and eating didn't worry until BFP.
This time we weren't actually TTC so I just started after I found out I was pregnant.

Once I get my BFP, I follow the medicine and alcohol rules. The only food rules my OB gave was nothing raw or unpasteurized.

I voted while TTC because I stopped taking ibuprofen, was taking prenatals, etc. I don't drink anyway and my OB wasn't worried about foods.

After BFP for first pregnancy (all rules).
This pregnancy, after BFP for medications but I'm not worrying about food at all.

As soon as I got my BFP I stopped drinking and stopped any OTC medicines besides Tylenol. That's about it. My Dr is pretty lax about most of the "rules".

After the BFP I stopped drinking (I was a regular drinker), and changed my meds, but that's been it.

When we were TTC I was mindful of medications that cause birth defects (specifically migraine meds) and I didn't get tipsy drunk. Once I got a BFP I started following the mainstream "rules".

Only rule I didn't follow was food. I ate everything! But I followed the med list and avoided drinking.

after BFP - except for some brie that I had left in the fridge. It was a really good one, so I finished it

At least three months before we began actively TTCing. I was trying to deal with some digestive issues and weaning off an inhaler. Once those were sorted and I was pregnant, I relaxed the rules, which I know is not the norm.

I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm trying so hard to give up coffee! it's so hard damn it. I only drink one cup in morning, from my own Nespresso machine. other than that, I don't drink and I'm trying very hard to remember anything with raw eggs!

I still drank coffee, ran 7+ miles, ate soft cheese and hot dogs and bean sprouts and slept on my stomach til 6 months. Baby's fine! No alcohol or any medications at all but the food requirements I absolutely do not worry about.
