We stopped swaddling Charlie when we sleep trained at 4 1/2 months. It was a good thing too because he started rolling over from his back to his stomach at that time.
Charlie definitely slept better when swaddled, but soon he became used to his sleep sack and he still sleeps in one to this day.

We stopped swaddling when Elliot started rolling over at around 4 months. He loves to move around the crib, and it makes sleep time so difficult. I miss his swaddling days.

4.5 months for us too. Laney started rolling over at about 4 months in her sleep but not consistently and was just not ready to break the swaddle. About 2 weeks later I cut it out cold turkey and haven't looked back since. She sleeps better without it for the most part but she's turned into quite a sleep mover!

Little G was 9 months!! B that point, we were rell only swaddling his one arm though!

We only swaddled in the hospital. Our LO didn't like being swaddled. She liked sleeping with her arms over her head and her legs stretched out.

around 4 months i think. when she started rolling over. in took a while to stop though. we did it alternating one arm at a time until it was just her body swaddled. then we switched to sleepsacks.

@Laneybugsmommy: how did you LO react to cutting it out cold turkey? My LO is 4.5 months and he is starting to roll over from back to tummy... but he still "jumps" and can't fall asleep w/o his woombie... we tried only having one arm out but that still prevents him from falling asleep... we really don't want to resort to CIO... help?
