Around 12-18 months. They still wear the occasional one piece fleece at 3 & 4 yrs old.

I started when it was summer time more than a certain age but he was about 6 months. I think I bought 12 month pjs for him. He gets really sweaty when he sleeps!

We switched when he grew out of 18 months. I was sick of how fast we went through them, so I moved up to 2T. Makes diper changes a lot easier!

I think the majority of our 2-piece pjs are 18/24 month and up. But, we still use a combo for my 3 year old. One positive about one-piece pjs for boys is it keeps hands out of diapers for us, it just depends on the weather. We used a sleep sack for a really long time with LO1 and he typically just wore a onesie bodysuit or two-piece PJ short/short sleeve shirt underneath.

I think we started with either the 24 month or 2T ones. I agree, the 2 pieces do seem "big kid". We love them at age 2.5 now that she's potty trained.

I started 18 month, because it seemed more difficult to find the one piece in her size that were not fleece.

Her first pairs are 12-18 (I got short sleeve ones for summer) but she still wears mostly HA one piece jams.

6-12mo he had half 2 piece; after that all 2 piece. I loved how he looked like a little kid in the 2 piece.

We switched to 9-12 month size 2 piece pjs when she was around 6.5 months. She's long, and has a long torso. She grew out of 9 month sleepers in two weeks, so I just switched her to 12 month 2 pieces.

Around 2 years old (size 18 months)...but like others, we keep some one pieces in the arsenal at all times for those days when she feels like taking her diaper off in the crib . My almost four year old DD occasionally likes to wear footed pjs, too - I think they feel cozier to her.

12-18 months, but we would have stayed in fleece 1 piece if it were still cold out.

I think we are switching right now actually with 24 month clothes. She will be 1 in 1 week. But I can only find the footie pj's in fleece! We have 1 pair that a nice thin cotton, but otherwise I just buy 2 piece now. Although I've been really disappointed in fabric so far

I voted 9-12 month size, but hat was when dd was around 12 months. I actually bought her first pair for Christmas so she could wake up in them.

Well I bought some today but still stuffed his body in the one pice that still sorta fits haha. Maybe I'll let him grow up tomorrow night

I only have one set of 2 piece pjs, but I still put a bodysuit underneath it as I don't like when the top half rides up.

She has one set of 2 piece jammies right now and she looks so cute at them (same age as yours). She still wears a cotton sleep sack over them at night so I don't worry too much about her belly being cold. Diaper changes are so easy in that!

We switched last summer when he was 18 months, because I wanted him in shorts and couldn't find one piece shorts jammies. We went back to one piece temporarily in the winter but then switched to two piece again because his legs were too long.

@Finfan: I still didn't put him in them yet! He cut his first tooth yesterday and between that and "Grown up pjs" I just couldn't handle it haha. They're growing so fast!!!

We still do some one piece footie jammies in the winter...at size 5T. Mostly 2 piece in the summer starting around 18 months, I think.

We still do exclusively fleecy footed PJs at age 3 in 4 and 5T He has alwayyyyys had a round tummy and I keep the house very cool at night, so I know he's comfy and warm without things riding up or feet getting cold. I know I'm a total weirdo with this though!

He is a big guy + cloth diapers = no way I wash squishing that guy into sleeper suits. He was in a t shirt and sleep sack until it got cold when he was about 9 months. Olds Navy PJs got us through the winter.

DD is 16-17 months when we switched (she'll be 18 months shortly). The main reason is b/c her feet got too big and don't fit in the feety PJs that are her size! And in debating to get the footless 1 piece, I just decided to go for 2 pieces going forward.

We're doing one piece pjs with the baby in 12 months with the zippers. I think it wasn't until later that we switched to two piece with our oldest. We randomly have fleece ones which aren't being used this time around.

LO is almost 22 months and I debated switching him to the 2 pieces for summer because he keeps waking up with a sweaty head... but I was worried his feet would get cold so I got one more round of footies. This is probably the last round of footies.

we are switching a 2 piece jammies or a onesie now, at 1 year. Because summer. He still wears a halo sleepsack over them though.

I have so many 2 pieces for DD but she HATES blankets so I am always afraid her feet will get cold
P.S. will NOT wear socks to bed

@peaches1038: early, the one piece ones were such a hassle for diapers-- maybe 3 months or so?

With my daughter I switched at 6 months because she was crawling and her legs would always get caught up in the legs of the sleepers.

DS1 switched at 1 year/12 mo size. He was pretty much on schedule with his age along with the clothing size. He was walking and it was pretty warm them so we started adding 2 piece jammies around then. He also had a couple footed onesies up until 18 months (winter).
DS2 is 4 months but in 12 mo size clothes. I don't think I'll be switching him to 2 piece jammies for a while!
