LO is 9 months old. He's been army crawling for a couple months now. He shows no interest in crawling and it's starting to drive me crazy. Just looking for when others crawled.

9 months, but he never army crawled, just went straight to regular crawling.

@hilsy85: @Adira: I feel like army crawling is slowing him down. Why progress to regular crawling when you're extremely efficient and fast with army crawling?

11 months for LO 1.
LO 2 is still not fully crawling (just army) at 15 months. Her Drs said they think she will skip it.

@autumnlove: ugh that army crawling drives me nuts. We have hardwoods and a dog. He's like a little swifter sliding around no matter how much I vacuum. Pick up your belly kid!

@ladybee: haha, put him in some fleece and just send him around the room to clean your floors! Capitalize on it while you can!

mine started army crawling around 7 months but didn't fully crawl til 11 months!

Almost 9 months but he never army crawled. The dog hair doesn't get when they crawl unfortunately now it's just all over his legs and bottom no matter how much we sweep

DS was 7 months and DD was 8 months. Neither really army crawled.

Started army crawling right before he turned 11 months. Started crawling properly at 11 months. I was so worried the whole time, wondering when he would start. Now, at almost 13 months, he is non stop!

LO is almost 7.5 months and is very close to crawling, but it hasn't quite come together yet. She's been pushing up onto all fours and rocking for about a month, and she's getting better at it and able to stay up longer so I have a feeling it won't be too much longer. She has no interest in army crawling.

LO went straight from "rocking" back and forth in a crawl stance to "crawling" at 8.5 months. I say "crawling" in quotes because it is the strangest form of crawling I have ever seen, not on all fours. But man can she move!

Somewhere around 7-8 months. It was the same time as pulling up. I think the balance needed to real crawl (versus army crawling) wasn't perfected until she started wanting to pull up all the time.

she scooted and crawled backwards before 6 months, but crawled properly right at 6 months (same time as pulling up).

9 months with no army crawl and no real signs of interest in crawling beforehand.

Not sure with DS1. DS2 started army crawling around 6 months and recently started crawling at 8 months.

7.5 months. She never army crawled, just went from rocking back and forth to regular crawling.

She army crawled from 7.5 months and then started crawling on all 4's at 9.5 months.

@ladybee: My LO army crawled at 6 months and never regularly crawled until after she was already standing up and cruising at 11 months. She really perfected her army crawl in those months though, and could go really fast and all over the house.

10 months. He learned to crawl backwards first then forward a week or two later. No army crawl.

He started crawling really late, right around his first birthday. Before that he army crawled. Now at 15m he walks, so he was only crawling for a really short amount of time.
Try not to stress, they all have their own timelines...

DS started army crawling at 7 or 8 months, switched to regular crawling close to 11 months. I noticed then that it coincided with him getting better at pulling up and standing. He was fast as an army crawler so I thought he'd skip it, but he's even faster now! I LOVE the sound his little hands make on our hardwood floors when he's on the move - tap tap tap!

@ladybee this is us too! LO has been army crawling for 2 months now (she's 9 months) and I think she's gotten so efficient at the army crawl she doesn't feel like trying to regular crawl. I'm dying for her to start because her clothes keep getting so dirty on her belly!

He's been army crawling since 7-8 months, and just started crawling normally at 12.5 months, although he mostly prefers to cruise now. Army crawling ruined half his wardrobe with stains and friction holes, so I feel your pain!

@ladybee: Do you have any problems with him and the wood floors? We got rid of the rug in our living room and I'm afraid to let him loose on the wood floors because I feel like he's going to hurt himself.

He started crawling fairly late, around 9.5 months, but he never perfected it, because at 10 months he was like screw this, and started walking. Even now when he crawls, he does the one leg dragging behind him style crawl!

@ShootingStar: his whole room is covered in the foam tiles. We've started putting him down on a blanket and letting him go around the living room. He doesn't seem to mind but I worry that it hurts or he will get hurt. We got rid of our area rug because I felt like it was soooo gross after the dog and raw hides.

6 months for an army crawl, and she was 'real' crawling at 8 months.
