She started army crawling at 7 months and by 8 months could get everywhere quickly! She just turned 11 months and finally last weekend started to "real" crawl. She's standing and walking around the furniture so I am actually surprised she started crawling on all fours. I thought for sure she'd just go straight to walking.

My LO army crawled at 12m and real crawled at 14m. He is receiving physical therapy for slightly low tone / delayed gross motor. We thought he might stick to army crawling but he picked up the traditional crawl when he learned to pull up. I think in part because we taught it that way, ie put him a few feet away from sofa and emphasize "crawl crawl crawl, reach up, step up" and he quickly figured out the starting on all fours got him where he needed to go !

LO started crawling with her belly up at 8 months but it's just been in the past couple weeks that she will not go back & forth between army crawling & "real" crawling. She is just now 9 months.
I think I started crawling at about 11 months & walked like 2 weeks later. I'm awesome so don't worry!

My daughter started to crawl forward a few days ago and is already trying to pull herself up on furniture!! She is barely eight months old. I am not ready for this!! She is growing up too fast!!

T is 6.5 and is no where near crawling or being mobile at all. It's bugging me.

around 8.5 months normal crawling. before that he had been something in between army and regular - but he could only go backwards!

DD started army crawling at 5 1/2 months but didn't regular crawl until after 9 months. Like your LO, she was so fast at army crawling that I don't think she was particularly motivated to try anything else! Don't worry, he will get there soon enough

I voted 7 months for my first. But my second is 7 months and hasn't even rolled yet ! This one has no ambition to meet any milestones yet hahha the first one is an over achiever :).

7 months for army crawling. 9 months for full on crawling - several weeks later he started walking (at 10 months)
