LO is eight weeks old and with the exception of fifteen minutes play sessions on his playmat after he wakes up from a nap he fusses unless I hold him all day. More specifically hold him propped up on my shoulder while walking laps around our apartment.
I know there isn't much for him "to do" during the day... but I am wondering when he may stop insisting on being held constantly. He hates his swing or being propped up in his boppy or against pillows on the couch. I'm starting to go a little crazy during the day!
Did your newborn ever like being put down??? Or did you do the all day carry as well?

Haahaha, no help...I hold LO constantly...
She naps a lot in the carrier, on the pillow after feeding, she rarely is in her swing (unless I sneak her in when she's already sleeping hard), and she hates the bouncer. I don't mind...yet. 
LO is 6 weeks.

I never held her constantly from the beginning so maybe that helped? Or it was luck?

I can get 20 minutes here and there in the swing (LO is almost 11 weeks) starting around 9 weeks or so. But we had to work up to that starting with only 2 minutes in the swing. Have you tried baby wearing? I can get her to sleep in the ergo or ktan if I'm moving. Same with the stroller. Have to be moving.

I forget exactly, but it was many, many weeks of holding her or having her in the Moby. She would tolerate the Rock and Play for short periods of time, but otherwise needed to be held and moving. The first 2-3 months are a blur of feeding her, holding her and bouncing on the exercise ball, and putting her in the moby and walking for miles. Helped me lose the baby weight quickly.
@Mrs Spoon: Yes to the moving. She knows when I'm even thinking about stopping.

Same as @Mrs Spoon: . DD would only do short stints alone in the swing, Pack-n-Play, on a blanket, etc. I'm talking a minute or 2. She had to be moving in the carrier or our arms in order to nap. There was a development spurt at 8 weeks. After that at 9 weeks she miraculously started taking 20 minute naps in the swing. Crib naps are still few and far between (she's 10 weeks now). If I put her in the carrier she'll sleep for 90 minutes or more. But I'm trying to wean her from napping while being carried.
