Dd hated rear facing so we switched her at 12 months.
DS loves being in the car so we'll keep him rear facing as long as possible.

We're planning to rear face as long as possible. Hopefully to 4. LO is tiny and a t the bottom of the charts, so it should be easy to do weight/height restriction-wise.

@rachiecakes: my husband has a sport's car...can you imagine? He is already begging me at 13m to allow him to FF in at least his car but I said HELL NO and showed him some horrifying youtube videos just to seal the deal He is now on board, whole-heartedly haha.

I plan to rf until age 4 or until her height/weight dont allow it anymore. We will get a seat with larger height rf limits when she gets too tall for her britax

around 14 months. when he was 11 months he started throwing up from motion sickness anytime we drove for longer than 10 minutes. so we decided that when he started walking we'd switch him. by 14 months he was a very confident walker, and was a giant at close to 25 lbs, so we felt okay flipping him.

Some time after she turns 2. That could be 25 months, could be age 5. We have an ERFing carseat and plan to keep her as long as she is fine with it.

We flipped at 14 months. DS is close to 30 pounds and it was getting to hard to put him in the seat rear facing. Plus I'm short and pregnant - getting him into the SUV was a challenge.

We're planning on keeping LO rear facing as long as possible but at least until two, hopefully beyond! Australian law only requires it for six months so most people I know here think I'm crazy for still having her RF at 17 months, but I won't change yet. Mind you, it is so hard getting a toddler into the seat, over the tethering car seat straps, and then cramming their legs in with the stabilising bar, but it's worth it to keep her safe.
Have I mentioned I absolutely hate Australian car seats?!?! No latch system here for purely economical reasons (they don't want people buying car seats in the US, where we can get them for a fraction of the price, so by keeping their requirements different, no one can use a car seat bought anywhere other than Aus - argh!!!)
