I have always been the type of person that works out in the afternoon/evening. It's just such a struggle in the morning! But a morning work out just fits into my life better so I'm trying to make the switch and it is brutal!
When do you work out?

@Mamaof2: I can definitely tell I'm not doing as well in the morning - it takes me so long to warm up and I'm just struggling to make it almost the entire time!

I used to be a morning work-out person, but then I had a baby. Now I go for a run or to the gym as soon as she's asleep, but I don't know what I'll do come summer when my husband is travelling.

I work out during nap time or after the kids go to bed

Right now I don't aside from the occasional walk with the kids. I wish I had time but I just don't these days.

Gym right after work, yoga classes in the evening.
It will be interesting what changes after we have a kid.

IF I do it's evening.. I cannot physically get up any earlier than I have to

Depends. Morning when DH is around on the weekends, during lunch or after work, or late night videos at home!

We have a YMCA a block from work and I go over lunch when I can since I'm too busy outside work hours! After my fitness class, I usually eat lunch at my desk.

@sandy: you forgot to put the option "never"
The last week I have been doing a few min after LO's bedtime. But I'm too tired to go to the gym or do more than a few min.

At lunch. Our work has an on-site full gym with lunchtime classes.

I'm really trying to make the switch to mornings too but I'm so slow to wake up - especially during the winter. Lately, 10-11am is working okay because I have time to drink my coffee in the morning but I get it done before B gets home from school so I still have time to help with homework, run errands and make dinner in the afternoon.

Morning! It sucks but it's just easier to go while everyone is still asleep.

I actually go right after work, but I'll go in the morning sometimes, too. Just not while pregnant

My workout is rocking DS to sleep multiple times a day, lifting/carrying him loads, going out with him in the baby carrier...

6 am before work, it's tough, but it's way better to get it over for me than to have to go after work.

Right now in the evening, but once we get a gym set up in our house I'm going to aim for the mornings.

Mid-morning, I take the boys to the Y for childcare once we are all up and have had breakfast. Usually between 9-11 we get around to it. Early morning might kill me and I'm beat by evening most of the time.

Never? Well, not since 2012, before I was pregnant. Yup, I admitted that online.

DH and I switch off gym nights, and I have one glorious work from home day where I can sneak out during lunch.

lunchtime--my office building has a small but serviceable gym and they have classes during lunch hours. otherwise i would try to do it in the evenings, but that is hard because all i want to do is veg out after LO goes to sleep.

After my kids go to bed, usually around 7. Sometimes I think it gives me too many endorphins to work it before bed though, so I'd like to do it earlier, but I don't really know when.

Always morning. Getting up in the cold and dark sucks so hard, but I love the early burst of energy and feeling of being ready for the day ahead.

I get up at 5:30 three mornings a week and do DVDs in my living room for 30 minutes. It is the only real time I can fit it in during the week.

I prefer morning... But it's hard! Last summer I commited to 5am classes 3x a week, and it actually was pretty awesome. But I can't get myself to do it again

At night after DS goes to bed, because I usually shower at night anyway. I am not a morning person at all!

I voted morning. I really just try to fit it in where I can but I think mornings before LO wakes up are the best option. He's a night owl so there's no way to do it after he goes down at night.

Evening. My preferred routine is to do a workout video (currently prenatal pilates) after prepping dinner, while it is simmering or roasting or whatever. These days I'm also trying to work in some mid-day walks to get some diversity into my activity.

I prefer mornings but that means I have to get up at 4:45 in order to be showered and ready to go plus get DS ready to leave the house at 7:00. Unfortunately DH leaves the house at 5am so he's no help It hasn't been happening lately though because it's SO cold in the morning and I can't get motivated!

I'll usually go during the day on my lunch break since my work allows me to do it. If I can't, I'll go in the afternoons.
If this helps making getting up a little easier, changing the time of day you workout gives an extra shock to your body and your workouts will be better.

Depends on the day but typically evening, occasionally on my lunch break.

After LO goes to bed. I'd have to wake up at a ridiculous hour to have time to work out and shower before work.

5-7pm when the childcare room is open at the gym
ETA: Mon-Thurs is night and Saturday morning with an occasional Sunday morning thrown in for good measure.
