Beef, sauteed with peas and onion. And jam. So it tastes like feet!
Pound cake. The chocolate ones are far, far, too rich for me. I like sour cream pound cake (paula deen's)

We always use a light sponge cake, like Angel food cake. I looooooove trifle!
We've also made them like this, with jam rolls, and it was delicious!

angel food cake from the box. Let it sit out a bit so it stiffens up before cubic and tossing into the layers.

I've only made a trifle once and Mrs wagon gave me an awesome recipe! It was for July 4th. I think I used pudding mix and blueberry and strawberries and whipped cream.

I like using Sara Lee frozen pound cake and putting it all together while the cake is still stiff - reduces crumbs and broken pieces. Then it will thaw and soak everything up as it sits. Nom.
