With my first LO, it was move in ready about 3 months before she was born.
The walls are painted in Baby 2's room but nothing else is done. I know there is no real rush since she will sleep in our room for a few months but I still want to organize and buy some furniture!

We had his nursery ready for him a couple of months after he arrived. We procrastinated a lot on getting stuff done.

It was ready at around 28 weeks but I'm an overachiever. Actually it was "decor ready" but we were still stocking up, putting away clothes etc., putting away gifts, up until the last week.

It's getting there. (So am I: I'm 38+3.) There's a crib, but no crib mattress (but there is a pack and play ready to go to our room), and very little in the way of clothes, blankets, towels, etc., since we won't do a shower until after baby's arrival. It's much closer than it was a month ago, but I suspect we'll do a lot more in the coming months after baby joins us!

Ours was ready for baby around 24 weeks when my parents came to visit! It's still not completely finished though. I have some finishing touches to do

We finally finished it when she moved down there at 8 months. We just decorated it in the last few months - she's 16 months now.

All the major stuff is in and ready in the nursery at almost 33 weeks, but we still have lots of necessities to get together (diapers, wipes, etc)

I am 34 weeks and no where near ready. Granted we just closed on the house this past Friday, but all we have done is my Mom painted on Sunday. This weekend, we move in, so hopefully I can get a lot done on Sunday. If DH gets the crib together for me!

I'm hoping ours will be done by 34 - 36 weeks?! We don't plan to start working on it til around 20 weeks once we know the sex and can plan accordingly.
DH and I were talking about this yesterday. He mentioned that his sister said we don't need to have the nursery ready before the birth because the babies don't sleep there for a while. While this is true, SIL followed this thought process and her nursery is STILL not done... And she has a 4 year old and a 2 year old! They just never bothered, haha.

Completely done..... When she was a few weeks old. We didn't put her crib up till she was born, crazy Jewish superstition. She slept in a bassinet in our room.

Lo is 4.5 months, and we only got her stuff in there yesterday. We live with in-laws and they've been dragging their feet for the past year.

Ours is completely done (like pictures hung, toys and diapers washed and ready) as of last weekend and I'm 38 weeks. If it were all up to me I would have been done sooner but I needed my husband's help and he is crazy busy so we took a little longer. She'll be in our bedroom anyway but I wanted the nursery all done!

Well the essentials were done by the time he was born though we didn't buy his crib until he was 4 months. And we finished all the decorating when we moved and he was 9 months

we'll be 90% done (just need to hang up picture frames/art and buy bookshelves) by this week, my 30th week. yay! even though the baby doesn't sleep in there for a few months, i don't think we'll have the time or energy to put it together once he's here!

He is 12 1/2 weeks old and it is only now starting to look "done"! We took our time decorating since we did not know the gender and wanted to wait until after he was born to complete the room. It was repainted, re-carpeted and all of the furniture was in by about 35 weeks. We're still adding little touches here and there.

DD is 8 weeks and the nursery is nowhere near done. Walls are painted and some furniture is in, but it's all very piecemeal. Ah well. She's still in our room so we're not in a rush.

My goal is to have it all done by end of this week - I'll be 36 weeks. Honestly thought I'd have been done a lot sooner, but I've been slow with the DIY projects in the 3rd tri. Would recommend doing as much as you can before you get too tired!

I'm really nervous about this as the room that will be baby's room is currently our office. In order to make it baby ready our plan is to use our tax refund money to finish the basement and move the office down there. Then we can finally tackle the nursery which will have to be cleaned, painted, organized and decorated. It just seems like a lot of work to finish by Sept/Oct

Not at all! We got a late start bc we moved when I was 36 weeks, but we made it work.

The majority of it was done at 36 weeks . . . but I still hadn't finished all the laundry by the time I was induced (it was a surprise induction), and I didn't have a diapering station set up (diapers out of packages and what not).

My dad put our crib together while I was in the hospital having LO. Everything else was finished around 36 weeks.

Ours has been ready since about week 27 or so, furniture-wise...but I *just* washed all her clothes/blankets/etc this week at 32 weeks and I still have finishing touches of things I need. I need a trashcan, to make a diaper solution, finish buying what's on the registry, get a surge protector so we can plug in the humidifier and lights, etc. Nothing major. I don't feel rushed since she'll be sleeping with us for awhile, though.

I'm 36 weeks and ours still isn't ready. Though the crib is finally in there and setup! I'm hoping to get a lot done in the next two weeks and pray I don't deliver early!
We do have a bassinet though for when the baby first comes home, so I figure it's okay if I'm not done the nursery and the baby arrives.

Eloise is a month old, and we are still not done. She's staying in our room for a few months, so there is no real rush, but I would like to get some more done. Right now we have the big pieces of furniture, a rug, a new lamp, and a fresh coat of paint on the walls, but that's it. Oh, and we unpacked her clothes in the dresser, but other than going in to get her a new outfit, we're really never in there.
