Someone posted on FB a picture of someone's Christmas lights being up.
Is that too soon? I think so.
DH is a big Christmas fanatic and he plans to put his lights up after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving, or the week before. We're usually not around for half of Dec so we like to put them up a little early to get to enjoy them a little more.

I grew up putting up the Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving. So I somewhat passed that tradition on when I got married.

December 6th. My birthday is that day and that's always been my special thing to do that day.

After we take the Halloween lights down, that's for sure. Probably mid-Dec because we'll forget before that.

I'll be the dissenter--well, we don't put up outdoor lights, but I'm going to start putting up Christmas decorations sometime this week. We're leaving the Friday before Thanksgiving and will be gone the whole week after, and December is going to be craaaazy with the end of term and with the fact I work part-time in a church: there's going to be no time to decorate then, and I love to see them up regardless!

@T.H.O.U.: I was just thinking I need to go through my stuff. I can't remember what I got last year.
Thanksgiving night or day after!

We'll be out of town until December 2nd, so after then.

The weekend before Thanksgiving! I want everything up before December begins, and Thanksgiving weekend is too crazy. I would do it it now if my husband would let me.

Hopefully, right after Thanksgiving. We never did get them up last year because it rained every single weekend.

We actually used ours for Halloween, but they're not the traditional lights on a string.
