We're moving to our first home in two weeks. Everyone is asking us when the housewarming will be. I don't know. Do people usually schedule that before they move in?

We'll probably have our housewarming 2-4 weeks after we move in. I'm gonna need some time to chill out and rest! -
We had ours this weekend, and we moved in the middle of September. We put the date out there the week after we moved in but left ourselves time to settle in and unpack/decorate.

I've been invited to one that was within the first two months and another that was a year after moving in.
If you choose to have one it's really up to you to decide when you feel like you are settled and ready to show off your house.

We did ours a couple weeks after we were all settled in.

We waited about 2-3 months or so to host our housewarming. We wanted to be completely settled and it also took a while to have all of our furniture/decor how we wanted it.

We won't be ready to have a housewarming party, oh ever, at the rate we're going. We've been in the house 5 months already and we don't have window treatments up on all the windows!

We never had one! Were we supposed too? In our defense we moved in and 5 weeks later had a baby.

We bought our house in mid June, moved in a month later and just held our housewarming (actually LO's first birthday) last weekend. So... about 3-4 months.
I guess it depends on how much you have/want to do to the house on moving in and if you both work what kind of timeline you want to have for a housewarming. People are probably just excited to see the place and celebrate with you, but I knew I needed a good while to be settled in before hosting any kind of party!
