I realize this may be a silly question, but I have no idea where to go. Target? A pharmacy? A maternity store?
We have a couple of 6-hour one way trips coming up, and I think it's probably time to buy some.

I ordered some off Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00657YPO4/ref=wms_ohs_product and got a medium, based off my shoe size. They were way too big through the legs and felt like normal dress socks. I think my legs are pretty average sized, not super skinny, so I was bummed. Just an FYI/forewarning!

I had compression socks for running (i got the Sugoi ones for Christmas a few years ago) which i used when flying. I"m sure you can find a good pair on Amazon.

I never ended up needing them during pregnancy, but my mom wears them daily and swears by more expensive ones from a medical supply place. I think she gets them online. I probably would have started looking at the medical supply shop at our medical building?

The highest quality ones are by prescription (at least in Canada) and are incredibly pricey, but are often covered by insurance (my mum gives me her hand-me downs. She gets about three pairs/year and they run about $500 for the three pairs).

I got a prescription from my doctor so insurance would cover them, then got them from an orthotics shop. Very expensive but soooo totally worth it!

I got mine (via prescription in Canada) and a chiropractor's office.
