He climbs on my legs it's annoying but you gotta do what you gotta do. Our house is pretty baby proofed (meaning there is not much to it haha) so there is little he could get into that would hurt him. Sometimes I let him watch some youtube videos or music videos and those will hold his attention for a short while (a very short while).

@winniebee: yes we are in an apartment which isnt too huge either so this play yard has taken over our living room, but we decided to go ahead with i t because we just cant baby proof any other rooms

I put B in his jumperoo.

We put DS in the jauzzi tub with toys (it's right in front of my shower) or the pack n play.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: your baby is so crazy! love her. =P

@Winniebee: I usually shower the night before and then I have 10 minutes to get ready in the morning. I agree with the other suggestions, maybe just put him in a high chair with some Baby Einstein dvds and a little food that isn't too messy.

Recently I have been putting LO on our bedroom floor surrounded by toys. He is trying to crawl, so right now he has fun lunging at our dogs when they walk by and talking to them. Once he crawls, I have no idea. But I have the same issue, DH is out of the house by 6 a.m.

I tend to either put him in his PnP in the living room or I put him in his crib. He's usually happiest in his PnP since he gets to look out the front door at the cars going by.

I do the same as @BabyBoecksMom on the weekdays (I'm a SAHM but sometimes I don't shower when he's napping). It helps that we have glass shower doors. He mainly just sits there and looks at me instead of playing with his toys.

I'm probably either a. going to put her in her crib with toys or b. put her in the bathroom with me and shut the doors so she can't get out (after baby proofing, of course).

I stopped showering in the morning, honestly.
We also had a period when DS was mobile and didn't want to be in the exersaucer or jumper, but couldn't really be left non-well-attended, and was waking up between 5 and 5:30 AM (so it's not like I was going to wake up before him). I just stopped ever trying to shower in the morning, and would often bring things like clothes and makeup downstairs with me so I could get ready while he was in the high chair eating his breakfast or drinking a bottle.

@winniebee: Yeah, I really just tried to get as much as possible done the night before (like showering or picking out clothes or packing up my purse for the next day), and I'd have DH (if he was leaving first) carry stuff out to the car on his way out for me (like DH's lunch/bottles, anything I wanted to take to work, etc.). Anything to make it easier for me to get out of there in the morning. And I moved a toothbrush, hairbrush, makeup, contact stuff, etc. to the downstairs bathroom so I could do a lot of that while LO was eating in his high chair.

Babyproofed house, so I just put her on the floor to explore. I had some fun things at her level for her starting at that age, so she's always been free to explore.

@winniebee: What did you end up doing? B has been waking up around 6 a.m. and I'm struggling figuring out what to do with him while I shower and get ready. He's not very mobile now, but he rolls over to our bed and is trying to pull himself up which freaks me out that he will hurt himself.

@littlek: I've started getting up earlier than her to shower. Once I've showered, I get dressed and by then she's up. I bring her into the bedroom/bathroom and she usually sits there and watches for a while before she gets frustrated. Our bedroom/bathroom/closet are all baby proofed so she can wander around those pretty easily without getting into TOO much trouble.
