In bed with us/in my arms. He wouldn't sleep anywhere else. Eventually we got him to sleep part-time in the PnP, and we've just moved into the crib this past weekend (he's nearing 6 months).

DD slept on an armchair the first week of her life because we coudn't go back to our apartment during Hurricane Sandy. She then slept in a bassinet in our room but moved to her crib in her room at 4 weeks old.

LO slept in a PNP bassinet. She hated the cute bassinet that we borrowed from a friend.

The first two weeks on me on the couch... (I know I know shame on me) He then got moved to PnP and bassinet. We travelled a lot when DS was little bitty. He recently moved to the crib because he was getting too big for his bassinet.

PnP in our room for 2 nights, then our pediatrician suggested moving him to his crib in his own room to start getting his days/nights figured out. He's been sleeping in his crib since our 3rd night home (5 days old).

LO slept with me for a week or so. Then he went into his Pnp.

He slept in his bassinet for the first week, then we moved him to our bed and some nights in my arms. He'll be transitioning to crib soon, probably this month (he'll be 6 months old).

Lo started in a bassinet in our room, transitioned her to the crib at 4 months (about 2 weeks ago) and the cot is in our room. She'll be going in her own room next to ours at about 5 months.

LO is 8 days old and has been sleeping in his crib since 5 days old. He hates sleeping in his RNP except the first nap of the morning.

Happy to see all these mamas with LOs in RNPs - @rachiecakes: @MsLipGloss: @oahujeni: @Andrea: I was told you can't have them sleeping in there... I guess that's not true? You all have had no problems? (Sorry to threadjack!)

In bed with dh and I. She's 7 weeks old and we don't plan to move her anytime soon.

@JoJoGirl: not sure why? he didn't sleep through the night until 9 months and was EBF, so it was never more than 4-5 hours. But that's where I laid him down to sleep at night until he started to pull himself up.

Arm's reach cosleeper (most of the time). Sometimes in bed with us.

@rachiecakes: I dunno. Something about it changing the shape of their skull? I see stuff on Amazon reviews about it but on HB nobody seems to have had issues. We registered for one regardless but the lady scared me away from putting LO in there to sleep.

She was in a RnP in our room for the first 4 weeks, and than we moved her into the living room in her RnP with our bedroom door open. We both slept sooo much better after doing that! We moved her to her crib at around 14 weeks old.

We're planning on doing a bassinet in our room for the first couple weeks before moving him to his crib in the nursery.

in his carseat in his PnP in our room....it was the only way we could get him to sleep was in his carseat

@JoJoGirl: my LO sleeps in her RNP at night. We had her in her crib originally... But she's been having a lot of issues with acid reflux so the crib wasn't working any more. She usually does one 8 hour stretch in there, eats and then goes down for another couple of hours. We have had no issues. The sides are soft so they really don't put pressure on her head.

At first, the controversial nap nanny on the floor for the first 2 weeks. it was the only thing we could get him down in! Then a bassinet for the next 4 weeks and after that, we moved him to his crib at night. I went into his nursery to nurse him when I was nursing him anyway, so it just made sense for us to move him there to sleep.

@JoJoGirl: I remember asking the nurse in the hospital about this and she said that because of the "back to sleep", some babies are on their backs for too long a time and it flattens their growing skull bones. I can definitely say that DS was never laying flat or in anything for too long at a time. There was LOTS of nursing, rocking, tummy time, naps in crib, moses basket, swing in, etc. in addition to the RnP. He never had the chance to always be in one place for too long and didn't sleep in more than 4-5 hour stretches until he was 9 months.

We had our LO in a Pack 'n Play initially and transitioned to his crib after 2 weeks.

Naptime - the swing or bouncer (or on me). At night - a bassinet in our room.

LO slept with us for the first 4 weeks and then we tried to transition to the basinette but I was super anxious so we moved him straight to the crib where the angelcare monitor was set up.

@rachiecakes: So I wonder why the RnP got flack for the head thing more than say, a normal mattress? Or a PnP mattress that is much harder?
