@JoJoGirl: oh really, I didn't know that there could be an issue. Hope not! I'll have to tackle moving her to the crib next week maybe. She'll be a month old. But she's still waking up several times a night so the RnP is just convenient versus trekking to her crib. And if she stirs, I can reach over and rock her a few times from my bed ... can't do that with a crib, sigh!

What Henry started out in was an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper mini (it's a bassinet) that my aunt gave me, then after about two months we switched him to a cradle - something like this:
But a lot nicer from a family friend. It has stoppers on the rocking part of the cradle that can keep it stationary so young one doesn't rock the crib too much by themselves. That worked for us until he was six months and was big enough to really test those stoppers with his constant rolling motion. So we upgraded him to a crib.
We'll probably do the same thing with this next one - bassinet, cradle, crib.

Slept with me or my mom the first month on the couch/nb lounger (I know, shame shame)... then PnP in our room and/or crib.
Naps were in swing, now naps 90% in pnp.
