I think it's funny that DS and DD's names are only 10 ranking spaces apart for 2012...and in the 300's--so not like even top 50 names.

#6. Name popularity wasn't a factor for me. I grew up with the #2 most popular name for the year I was born and it never bothered me any, so I didn't care that the name I absolutely loved for DD was in the top ten. If baby #2 is a girl, my top pick for a name is #4 whilst DH's preference is #19.
For a boy, we're slightly less popular with #73, unranked, and #14 in that order for our name preferences. Surprisingly, the unranked name on our list is in the top 20 here in Australia. Interesting it hasn't made the top 1000 in the US!
